And look at it this way.. we have never won a game at KP under lights...

We have never lost one there under the same circumstances, you guys are done for.

Whats a Shane Kersten?

Underestimate him and you'll see..... Think looks like Pav and plays like Hawkins... but a bit shorter and 19 years old.
Not dissimilar to 1/2 of the prospects you have been given. He's good. So are your lot.

Interesting point. Do you think the Cats will be training under lights this week? Conditions can change so much! Very dewy and stuff.

I have no doubt they will. In fact, GCS probably have more games at home under lights than we do.

That said, it would be very unlikely that our lot wold suffer the fumbles too much. Geelong is buzzing about this game for several reasons and i would expect them to be up. Especially on the back of you game against the Poo and Wee mob.

CS will have seen that and I guarantee that any complacency will have been exorcised. Swallow, Bennell, Ablett, Brown, - you have plenty of cattle there...and more...

Rory will probably give Hawkins a break from the toweling he will give him for a few minutes so he can kick some goals (don't want it to be a blowout) to come over and sort this lad out. Once all of his confidence is shot, you might as well sub him off. You can sub Caddy on if you like, is he even getting a game this year. Great career move by the young fella.

Being serious, Caddy is an interesting one. He came with all the hoopla but has found life a bit different. Kid has got talent no question and seems , at least to us, worthy of the original pick in top 10.

That said, its the application of that talent. He has been in and out of the side. My impression is that its been step up in the training and culture ( not a knock on GCS but our group just has been together longer and with the success comes a greater level of what is required - hope you get my inference) and he is still adjusting. Getting a MF spot at GCS is different to Geelong.
Especially with say Stokes this year. He was by his own words, a shocker and waste last year. Now he is back doing everything and getting 25 + a week. Cads has to earn the spot - which i feel he will - but he's just no there yet.

Has has some really good moments in games and he will get better....

Got to remember we have never done a full AFL preseason either. We STEPPED UP to 80% this preseason so you can imagine what it was like before that.

In saying that Caddy wouldnt get a gig in our midfield either, he would be playing on a half forward flank. I dont particularly rate Caddy, think Prestia is twice as good and a later pick. I am biased though.

I rate Prestia too. You have some serious quality coming through. Frighteningly good actually. Cads will surprise in the long term - meaning 2 years or so - and as you pointed out - he is adjusting to our training base too... having come from what you have done to this point. Time will tell but the story goes Wells rated Caddy at draft time too. We have a saying... in Wells we trust. Look at our list and you can see why.

Yeah cant argue with any of that to be honest. The one thing I will say is if I had to redo that draft I would have taken Heppell instead of Caddy. I think Caddy will become a very solid player (especially with Geelongs development history) but he probably should have been picked from pick 12-20 IMHO. Which is pretty much what you guys paid for him anyway!

I am most worried about our boys freezing to death during the game, it will be colder than my first wife down at the cattery this weekend.

We should take Flash for the vision of him in 5 jumpers and 3 pairs of socks would be worth the trip alone.

I don't feel the cold, but even I am scared at the prospects of this

Mate you have at least 20 Suns Guernseys, chuck em all on.

That's what was said about the Titans when they played Parramatta in Mudgee (Read: Freezing cold and in the middle of nowhere) on the weekend and look what happened.

That said, Who knows? Maybe I'm talking out of my ass.

I have put on 20kg since November. It's bad lol
Ah Bulldust, Maybe 5 or so but definitely not 20.
