I can probably 2 up/1 down, grabbing Stewart, Duncan and a rookie, but I would have to trade 1 of Pickett or Rankine out, so don't know if that's the play.

I suppose is Rankine scores about 60 again, his BE will be about 60, so maybe it'll work.

His game. He was heavily tagged but he didn’t appear to moving that well either. I don’t have him and am just waiting patiently to turn Dev Smith to him.

They might drop a further 20k each, they might not. Both will be cheap enough for me to attain next week. I honestly don't understand this obsession people have for waiting until players have absolutely bottomed out. If you can afford to get them in, get them in. Two less rookie scores on-field. Rd10 is the equivalent of Rd16 in a normal year.

Like I said, if you had other pressing issues, you can hold off on getting them. I waited an extra week to get whitfield cause I had injuries issue to fix.

I'm going to cop at least one zero against my money league opponent next week, but it looks like my opponent will have to cop at least one in the backline too. Should be able to win the game still.

Will then look to bring in a few West Coast/Carlton/Freo/Hawk premos the week after. Someone like Walsh would make a decent M9 for later in the season. Gaff is just about a must have after his bye too.

Interesting, may end up hedging my bets and downgrading one of my forward rookies if that's the case. Could be disastrous if he doesn't get an extended run at it or even if his scores are shocking.

From what ive read he has only played 3 practice matches since his return and only upto 3 qtr time. Like i said we will see tommorow but im guessing 60% tog max from what ive heard.

Why wait? There are only 9 rounds after this one. Because I expect Simpkin to score 50+ points more than his replacement Taylor and because I don't want to play 7 rookies out of 20 starters whilst 5 of my premo's have their bye next week.

As for match ups, I pay as much attention to those as I do to venues this year.

With no Cunni-ington and Ziebel he might have the same problem this week with Ben Keays .
B/E 201 and coming off a 35 and a 3 round avge of 75 could bleed $70k if Keays keeps him to 50.

Always a tendency to think gun players will come out and kill it against lowly teams, but what often happens is they end up being clamped down on and their teammates run around collecting bulk points.

I remember stupidly C'ing Zach Merrett in a game a few years ago against a rubbish Brisbane team. Nek minnit he gets tagged and ends up scoring 65.
