I don't understand why you'd post to ask about it "to make sure" but then not go with the safe option and name your team. If the deadline is Thursday you're safe, and if it's Friday night you can edit the team any time before then. I just went with what was written in the OP to be safe.

Because the game started half an hour earlier than I was expecting. I turned the car on when I left work at 6:30 with a half hour to get home thinking there would be 20 minutes after I got home to name a team. Turns out I was wrong.
