Uhmm!!!
What didn't you like!

Have you any positives to take out of this game.

Remember, with your 99% of negative outcomes there is some small tinge of optimistic hope you can indulge and see the 0.01% that creates hope in your mind in another after perspective of mentality 👍💪
Nahh he wants to continue to lose. Get that all important high draft pick and get a new coach. Its ruining his forseen future.

One of the logical idiocies when punishment is determined by consequences, not actions...

Unless it's Cyril "intent to strike"...then it's actions, not consequences.

It seems like the closest thing to a logical way to run this system would be to set aside the injury initially and first determine if the action itself demands a fine or suspension, and if so, consider injury as an aggravating factor and add on the appropriate dollars/weeks.

given our lack of depth at the position it's probably not too late for him to string some games together and earn another 1 yr deal
If he can play the rest of the season like he did on Friday night then it would make him easier to trade in the offseason that’s for sure.

We better be going real hard here, trial by media makes me furious
Cornes has said, appeal. Nothing wrong with the tackle and he has sympathy for players and what they face nowadays.
If Cunningham's feet hadn't been caught between Worpel's legs he wouldn't have fallen so hard. It ended up a bit like a Uki-Waza throw.

Our legal team could point out the incident above were Worpel was himself tackled headfirst with 1 arm pinned yet that was not cited. Whats the difference?. Surely common sense has to prevail here. Cunningham had an opportunity to protect himself yet chose to hang onto the ball.

Nah, Worpel to get another week for failing to protect himself while being tackled.

Hahahahahahaha the umps can't even get 15 meters right, yet some stat guy in the stand can get 40m right LMFAO - this proves how useless most stats are.
Wow. You really should get a grip on how these things work. The stat people have a map of the ground, and a digital ruler where they put where the ball was disposed of and where it landed. How do you think they get metres gained?

It is far easier for the stat guy to measure 40 m than it is for the umpire out of the field with his room temperature IQ to measure fifteen metres.

The 3 biggest factors having a positive impact

The inclusion and role of Jai changed the whole dynamic of the mids. Finally had a defensive beast who could disrupt and actually stick a tackle. Freed up the rest of the mids to actually play footy

Day back in the side changed the whole look and dynamic of the defense. He has been a massively underrated loss this year. Has so much footy IQ. Already a general in the making. Others play better around him.

We actually dominated the ruck. Cegs was on a mission and BB great when forward and around the ground. Can't remember when we last had such a ruck dominance across a game.

Wow - you should really get a grip that I just watch the footy and the players ability and could give a you know what about stats and the people that hang off them for their only rationale to try bang home a point. I have found that these types actually miss what is really going on - but hey I'm sure umps have a higher IQ then most stats people, not to mention thicker skin.

To keep a FF line of 'Papley - Buddy - Henney' so quiet was an excellent result for our defenders and testament to the pressure our mids put on theirs.
Don't tell anyone mate that if we stick the game plan the oppo can't score no matter who we have down back. It'll upset the Clarko haters that he's waiting on a forward line to develop while trying to get the mids to work together.

This one happens to Worpel in the second quarter and not considered dangerous by the umpires, they set the precedent for the rest of the game of what is acceptable.

Absolutely appeal, this is BS and trial by media.

Well done Jonny Ralph, just be consistent with your campaigns.

First time poster, long term voyeur.
A great game for a first post ...

Just watched the game for a second time and I agree, the umpiring didn't seem as bad on review - though Carey and BT 's commentary was even worse than I remembered (the commentary around Papsmear vs Razor Ray seemed to light the fuse, with Carey dialing up the douche-factor to 11).

A selection of things that stood out the second time around:

Mitchell was amazing early, dominating the clearances, and great overall.
The midfield was well on top in the first quarter, before Jai had a real impact (so we can't put the transformation all down to Jai, as great as he was).
The game was full of knock-ons and blocks, and a proper old-fashioned shepherd from Jai in the last. Had to be a coaching focus, surely.
Kosi is a beast of a competitor - absolutely deserves his place in the side and can only see him getting better.
The defensive group was a nightmare to play against.
The win was the epitome of a team effort, with no weak links at all (although Morris, who I quite like, is still uncomfortable at the level).

All in all, I'm tempted to give it a third watch - with the sound down :p

Just got back from a few days with inlaws on Tassies wild West Coast which included a kick to kick on the fabled gravel oval at Queenstown. Had a counter meal at the Empire Hotel followed by the game on the big screen. Wow. Great surprise and wonderful effort by the side. To top it off all the inlaws are Sydney. Bliss.
