Can anyone explain the Lual selection? When I watch VFL games he looked the furthest from getting a game.

Not sure Parish deserves to play tbh. It's not as if he was tearing it up in the 2's. Shiel with 22 contested possessions, 32 disposals, 11 clearances and 9 score involvements probably deserved it ahead of him.

Some hail Mary's are good but not sure about this one Scotty, especially in an area where we're not decimated in.

I think we will struggle as I don’t feel we match up great to Carlton with our current injuries.
Tough ask for Goldstein against an athletic TDK.
Guelfi if he plays to tag Saad.
Durham to play on Cripps to compete on the inside and try and run off him on the spread.
Wright to try and take weathering out of play.
Backline is tough.
Laverde on McKay and redman on curnow.
I guess McMahon is an option.

He's getting the Brayden Ham treatment. Someone has to sit out the VFL to be an emergency for the AFL and they've probably already put a line through him for next year and would rather the other possible emergencies get game time.

If we have a VFL game I'm assuming we are essentially just choosing to hold him out of the VFL instead of someone we desperately want to get game time into, as cruel as it may seem to Lual. But hey, it gives him a chance to play and live out his dream if something does happen in the warm up.

How many mids do we want to play…?? Merrett, Durham, Caldwell & Hobbs named on the ground plus Parish, Tsatas, Setters all named on the bench +- thats 7…?? Surely 1 or 2 miss and we play McMahon as an option in defence… Hope they line up something like;-
