Trades for Round 13, the last bye and thank god!!!

This bye will hurt people the most especially in the midfield, and many will cop a donut or two unless planning was thorough.

Personally I am hoping Blicavs and Viney get a game, or Stevenson with even more luck.

Whitfield -> Mitchell
O'meara -> K. Jack

These are my early trade thoughts.

O'meara to Mitchell is a certainty.

Dont have a clue what the other trade is going to be other then Kerridge going out of my team. Will either be for a midfielder or defender as my forward line is finished.

I will have 17 (if all plays) before trades for next week. I'm currently thinking:

JOM -> Scooter
Scotland -> Ellis/Ibboston (if I could afford him)

Then i'd be left with pretty much no money for wk14 LOL

Completely depends on team selections. The players I'm not entirely sure will play are Thurlow, Neade & JJK. I have 18 players with 2 trades in hand so should hopefully be able to cover any unexpected outs!

At this stage though I'll probably be trading Rowe -> Mitchell & O'Meara -> Scooter which will leave me with 19 on field and hopefully Neade as an emergency in my forward line.

on the chop: birchell, wines (i have wanted him out for a while), o'dwyer, thurlow (if he doesnt get selected for next weeks game), t.lynch (bought him after his second game and has reached his peak, a good cash cow).

I only need to trade out 1 round 13 player, so one of lynch or o'dwyer are gooooooone.

on the cusp for next week: b.ellis, ibbotson, nic nat, stokes, jack, s.selwood, r.griffen, k.cornes

I have 500k (& t.mitchell) so a bit of money for a double upgrade

Keeping JOM. Should have 19 players available next week before trades. Need to get Mitchell and might get N.Riewoldt, haven't really thought it through yet.

can't wait till all you dt spuds upgrade JOM, so he can finally be a pod for me. JOM till the end

He averages 88 and he's only tonned up 3 times. You realise that having a POD is only good when your POD actually scores more than the other team's player, right?

I don't trust any premo mids besides GAJ, Swan and Pendles. Unfortunately there are a lot of things I'd like to do which don't suit the bye (Get a R2 Ruckman, ditch Cotchin, ditch Hartlett, etc). I just realized that I have a 7 Premo midfield with JOM, Mitchell and Saunders. Would love to keep JOM... but I don't have much of a choice here.

is anyone considering sideways trading an under-performing rd 13 premium mid for a rd 11/12 mid? i currently have 8 premium midfielders, 4 of which are rd 13 mids- swan, gablett, pendles and dangerfield and am considering sideways trading danger or watson for a more unique mid such as griffen, montagna or s. selwood.

Outside of the mids my only other rd 13 player are Goddard, Macaffer and Kennedy. I could upgrade macaffer or kennedy but barring selection carnage i will have 6 forward (5 premiums + staker) playing next week anyway. i also want to DPP cox back into the forwards after the buy a my last premium forward so i can grab minson as a unique in the rucks. I have the same issue with the backs. i will likely have 5 playing, 6 if webster of thurlow are selected and upgrading one of my playing rookies isnt going to help in terms of increasing the amount of players i can field.

Before trades likely to have 18 on field (19 if webster or thurlow get selected) so im trying to balance up whether i sideways trade to maximise points and give me an extra player or whether i miss out on points in the mids and strengthen my team by upgrading a rookie (and potentially cop a zero due to a late withdrawal). my other worry is that if i do siedeways trade danger or watson they will go bang in the second half of the year and end up being on the top 10 for midfield avergages come the end of the season

Hodge to Tom Mitchell
Jacobs to Gunston
JOM will hopefully stay on as my M9 bench cover all season. I'll have enough money to get all premiums and good bench cover in Caff, JOM and Mackie by round 15 unless something abominable happens like usual.

Think I will still get rid of JOM even though he has a lowish BE

JOM --> Jack
Zorks --? Dusty

Still working it out but JOM is staying. Even if he doesn't keep up his scoring his job security looks golden and there will be times later on this season (imo) when you're looking to cover a midfield donut.

My thoughts exactly. And btw, Calvin & Hobbes!!!!!!! :thumbsu: x infinity. JOM is staying until I have luxury trades.

Scotland > Barlow (though his price has maxed out) or Ibbotson I suppose
Evans > T. Mitchell

I'm only sweating on JJK at this stage

Yeah, only a DT spud would upgrade a mid averaging in the 80s to a mid averaging over 100.

You could certainly keep JOM, but he won't be among the top mids of the season and certainly isn't a premium. With the R13 bye and him getting close to hitting his BE, it seems like a good time to move him on to something better.
