Quite fitting really. The first team we play twice after two big wins. A huge test. We've shown that we're no duds, but this will be a good measure of our improvement.

Also another interstate team, get on Richmond for the win :D:thumbsu:

A win against the Swans will hopefully prove to a few people that we're on the right path. They are a team that has had the wood over us for a few years now. The pleasing thing is we're getting a weeks break now for the kids to freshen up while the Swans will be coming off a game against the Pies.

Could be a significant advantage, especially if we could take a side in with all our best mids fit and available for the first time this year.

Be rather good to knock the Swans' season off the rails like we've just done to Brisbane. ;)

I'm heading down to Melbourne for this game, really looking forward to it! Especially seeing Riewoldt in full flight. :D

Have watched Richmond a fair bit over the last month or so and i'm really impressed with where the club is heading. The players seem to be playing for each other and have the belief they'll be rewarded through their efforts.

I think not long ago i wouldn't have hesitated in penciling this game in for a win, now i feel it's actually a bit of a danger game. lol. I don't mean any offence in saying that of course.

Cotchin and Martin are absolute stars in the making. Nason, White and Graham have potential to go a fair way in the competition. Tuck has been sensational too i reckon, especially against Port.

It's a shame the draft is going to be fairly compromised this year, a couple more decent picks for the Tigers would have them well and truely on the right path. :thumbsu:

Anyway, what's the best pub for pre and post match drinks? I remember one just across the road i went to after Hawks in 08 and the GF, it's a whiteish building....??

Two wins on the bounce. Two weeks to wait. JR now the most talked about boy in Melbourne. Tiger Army interested again and playing a decent team. Given a dry day we could get 40,000 and certainly should get close to it.

Will be tougher than Brisbane. Good game to have next, better than the opposition we've just beaten, but not so good that we're not a chance.

Hopefully the split round break means we come out refreshed and ready to play rather than breaking the momentum we've built up in the last month.

Could get 45,000. Swans have a bit of support here

It'll be interesting. Last game we drew more or less eactly what Essendon did V WCE when in 16th a few years ago. Back in 2005 they drew 41,000 V Swans when in 13th. We are spoon but on 2 wins on the bounce.

Of course Carlton in the basement would not draw anything like 30,000 V WCE and Essendon a more realistic comparison. Let's see what happens.

Huge game. It's time to see if we can match it with a decent team. It'll be great to see how much our structures have evolved since last time we played Sydney.

Get down to Werribee next week and watch the Burgers:thumbsu:

Good idea Ruanaidh but too far for a guy in Heidelberg to go watch Jordan McMahon run around.

Like it when they play at ABD Stadium or the Bullants at Cramer street.

Have to wait till 11th of July when we play the SCUM at ABD hopefully after a win at home by the seniors the day before against Fremantle.

Cricketer's Arms is just across the road at the bottom end of Punt Rd, near the train line. Or else the Royal up the hill a little.

Enjoy

Given how the Pies dismantled the Swans tonight whats the bet that if we do win the doomsayers will write the win off to playing another team that has either put the cue in the rack, missing players through injury or just simply isn't that good.

The only way I reckon some of them will finally start coming around is if we go out and beat the Cats & Saints in back to back weeks while both are at full strength and we're missing a couple. ;) Although that probably won't happen until both are on the way down.

Our form against the saints a couple of weeks ago doesnt look so bad at all, the way they have been playing, had our chances, just didnt have the polish.

According to the doomsayers its not good enough to get close, we either win or we're not good enough. Nevermind the fact the Saints were a 22-3 side last year and are a 10-3 side this year.

What chance the Swans will play as bad next week as they did tonight? They were awful, slow and fumbling all the time. Always playing with less numbers around the ball. Their intensity was way down on normal, I'm wondering if they've just conceded they can't beat Collingwood at Stadium Australia.

The problem we may have is that they are often playing three negative types - Kirk, Jack and Smith. We will really need our second tier running players to come to the fore - Edwards, White, Jackson, Connors, Bling, etc.

Hopefully they continue to play Goodes up forward for most of the game. Wouldn't mind if we play a defensive forward on Malceski, and try and nullify O'Keefe (even though he's not dominating this year, I'd like to keep it that way!).

Guess u cant please everyone. We have a long way everyone knows that, but atleast there is progress week from week now. Another good draft period like last year, and can turn around very quickly given these's young blokes a run. Aslong as they believe in what hardwicks preaching and structures it will swing our way at sum point down the track. The ride should be a enjoyable one to watch!
