Round 16 team

No surprises there, but personally I'd love for the team to stay as is for one more week.
Reward for being so good last week, plus it really, really, really puts the pressure on all the players knowing that these three deserving first graders are waiting for someone, anyone to take the foot off the pedal. One bad game and you're out for who knows how many weeks.

personally id love to see those three in with carlile, bentley and lonie( it wont happen) rested, that would be almost out best 22, i know salopek is to come back but god thats a good looking future we have.
I've been really impressed by Carlile so far and hopefully he will play all games from now on. Doubt it will happen but I'd love to see him get experience asap.
Out of our "new" tall backs Pettigrew is the best tall rebounder, Chaplin is our best back line General, Thurstans is the best all rounder and Carlile looks as if he is the strongest one out of them all, plus seems to have that natural "desperation" needed to be a top notch FB. Now he needs a couple more pre seasons and 50 plus games experience.

It can't and won't happen now, but my changes for this week would have been:

Ins: Gray, Chaplin
Outs: Lonie, Bentley.

I think we need the extra tall in defence, especially as the Grew is probably an option for Nathan Brown.

I like the way Bentley has gone about it the last 2 weeks - his ball-getting and pressure was excellent against the Eagles but his disposal was as sloppy as I've seen it from him. I have no problems if he stays in the 22, but Gray is more of the specialist forward, and I think we can afford to go in with one less versatile flanker (i.e. Bentley) against the Tigers.

Re Symesy - I'm resigned to the fact that he won't be with us next year, and even tried to bait Choco by sending in a specific question about his future with us last week. He may fetch a fair bit as trade bait - certainly worth more than White.

Really?
I am surprised he doesn't divulge all team information to such an important person in the community like yourself so that you can spill your guts on this website?

Predictably, Chaplin and Bentley named for Sturt, Boak and Thomson not and the other 3 are with bye clubs. With Richmond bringing in 4 big blokes for a midfielder they might think about bringing in Chaplin tomorrow

Cocky's in for Norwood with a bunch of other big blokes that don't include Minson, Batsanis back too but Grose is dropped and Stewart can't get in either.

I have a feeling that the reason Symes isn't in the side is because they want him to work on the defensive part of his game which was mentioned by Trevena a few weeks ago in the sanfl player review.

A SANFL Star said to me that Carlile is the worst player to player AFL in the last 10 years...

Bit of a joke isn't it? I mean a SANFL star being critical of someone who's only played 3 afl games. Sounds like sour grapes to me but still everyone is entitled to their opinion. But i would like to see Carlile keep his feet a bit more though.

I know I am not exactly qualified, however from the little I have seen I think your mate is not just off the money, but a long long way off the money.

Im not going to tell you who (because hes a mate), BUT he was DEAD SERIOUS...

Not that I am trying to figure out as to who it is but can you tell me whether he is a CURRENT SANFL star or former player?

Would just like to know if he formed this opinion from playing against him (or with him I suppose) or has made that call from watching Bob play?

Sorry A_M, not trying to put the squeeze on ya to get you to reveal your sauce or anything just interested how someone could come to the opinion that he was the WORST player to play AFL in 10 years

Why would someone say that. Has he seen Ali play in the AFL??? He is a hell of a lot better than others going around.. Remember, he has only played 3 games so far in the AFL with a lot more to come.

Is this guy jealous of Ali and the skills that he has?? You need to explain to us why he has said this
