Please don’t be the pcl please don’t be the pcl

Playing cold can be tough on the body if you aren’t used to it.
It didn't look to be in that region - there was some close up footage of him on the boundary after it was strapped, he stopped and started pressing his fingers around the calf muscle specifically, not the back of the knee joint. The ice was on the top back of the lower leg too, not on the joint.

But everything crossed it's not PCL related.

Bit of a random comment, but just watched the presser and to my ears, it sounded like a reporter was stuttering and found it really hard to get the question out. Fages was patient, smiled and started his response with “That’s a great question”. Not saying it wasn’t a great question, but it’s just a little example of the class that is Chris Fagen.

How lucky are we to have this man leading our club? I think he has a knack for making people feel comfortable and respected.

Pencil in his name for the AA coach this year.

Same young guy in Clarko’s presser. It’s terrific the young fella has been given a chance.

"Corridor" footy is overrated.

North bugger it up in the middle of the gorund.

Result?

Turnover goal to the Weagles who kick a goal within 25 seconds.

We have become a much tighter , not to mention BETTER footy team since we have limited those stupid turnovers that we were infamous for by playing high risk "corridor" footy

Nothing wrong with playing corridor footy, it just depends on positioning and situation imo and it's simply too risky to play through it consistently. We're no doubt a more considered and multi-faceted team now and don't rely on that run and gun through there to score or win.

We are a proper team now. Six in a row with wins away to GWS - Port and now Hawks in Tassie.

We have learnt from all those close losses last year how to win tight games - we have learnt in matches how to grind away and then put the foot down late and blast teams away with our fitness. We have multiple goal kickers and don't rely heavily on one guy to kick all the goals. Andrews was out this week so Walker stepped in and did his job. We have Lester who can replace Witherden.

The fitness team should take a lot of credit for out ability to run games out better than 90% of sides and the low injury list.

Fagan has the players believing in him and in themselves.

Hodge has been a godsend.

It's been a long hard road for us loyal Lion fans but we are on one hell of ride with this team now.

Finally Mitch Robinson you are all heart and class and well done to Darcy on 100 games - hasn't played a bad one in the last 50.

Hammo back to writing stupid comments. Saying Hawthorn should’ve targeted Neale. Port and North did and we killed them in clearances. Hawks didn’t and they liked us in clearances.

Weird comment when you consider the midfield was the last of their concerns. They were winning the ruck and walking it out of centre clearances pretty easily without putting attention on Neale. I dare say extra focus on Neale could have been beneficial for us if it threw out the systems they were using.

OMG - this. umpires pet.

Remember in our home leg when he dropped it cold whilst getting tackled by Robbo and Robbo got done for holding the man?

We might have been one short for most of the game with the injury to Witherden but the Hawks were two down for the entire day with Ceglar and Poppy playing :)

Seriously Puopolo how is he getting a game? Was very good in the Premiership years but was finished 12 months ago.

Luke Bruest aint far behind. Answerth did the job on him today superbly as has Nick Robertson the other times we played them. Hawks really need to get some young talent into the side through the draft. They have a good record of getting players from other clubs but they need to compliment them with kids not ageing stars who have lost their speed and hunger.
