Who are the best candidates for this week..?

I'm going to go for Chad Cornes, port playing Carlton at AAMI should dominate. Kane will as well..

But Bartel,Corey, Ablett look good as well playing Adelaide at Skilled.

Captain Choice will be the difference in finals.

Thinkin about Chad Cornes, or GAblett. Leaning towards the Chad, will he get tagged though?

I deliberated all last week over to go for Chaddy or Jimmy.
Went for Chaddy :(

Think it will be my first time giving Jimmy the honour this week (have had him for about 5 weeks).

Adelaide concede the most 100+ pts against and he's obviously back to full capacity with the score he got at the w'end.

Lappin played a half against the hawks last time they played and he got 82. I probably wont put him captain though. maybe ill give it to Jimmy.

I wouldnt choose the Chad

he only averages 65 against the blue baggers

I never look at past performances, can be quite misleading, i just look at current form on the player, current form of both teams, the ground it is at and who is most likely to match up on them.

Yeah that's a worry - his worst opponent historically which is weird.

Blues game is different now we're playing the possession game under Ratten, that should help Cornes but history's still hard to ignore.

The historical stats as per usual:

Richmond vs Collingwood
Swan av 94 over last 3
Bowden av 91 over last 15
Smokey: Richo

Hawthorn vs Brisbane
L.Power av 114 over last 4
S.Black av 98 over last 14
Smokey: Crawford

Port vs Carlton
Scotland, Kornes both av +100 over last 3
Smokey: P.Burgoyne

Melbourne vs Bulldogs
Cross, Bruce both av +110 over last 3 games
Smokey: White

Saints vs Swans
ROK, Riewoldt, Goodes all av +90 over last 4 games
Smokey: Ball

Kangaroos vs WC
D.Cox av 103 over last 4
Sinclair av 91 over last 3
Smokey: Brent Harvey, B.Cousins

Geelong vs Adelaide
Ling, Thompson av 110 over last 4 (3) games
Smokey: Burton, McLeod

Fremantle vs Essendon
Pavlich av 114 over last 4 games
Lucas av 102 over last 4
Haselby av 98 over last 4
Bell av 96 over last 10
Smokey: Bell, Haselby

Hey Beau Waters what happened to Jeff White averging 95+ for the rest of the season  :p, and you need to change Richmond vs Geelong to Richmond vs Collingwood :thumbsu: :D

BTW, Dane Swan is a Friday night specialist. Scored 141 against the tiges early on in the season and also 150 against the dockers.

As I just finished 8th in my league on percentage I am unlikely to progress much further unless I get a good captain choice. I don't have any "star" midfielders. Goodes, Crawford and SBurger being the best but none all that reliable.
I have been alternating between Chad and Riewoldt although the Chad doesn't look too promising and Riewoldt V Sydney could be disasterous. I have an OK backline and could risk it with H.Shaw Vs Richmond or either of Fletcher/McPhee. thoughts on who is the most reliable / who could potentially get a massive score needed to keep me afloat?

Suprisingly, Riewoldt averages alright against the Swans. From memory i think his average is around 85 in his last 6 or 7 games against them.

If you go and actually look at what i wrote, i predicted that he will score 95+ in his last 4 games i.e rounds 19, 20, 21, 22. Please don't misquote me.

This is true.
How can u count a game against Sydney in any average haha theyre the dreamteamkillers lol

BTW sum1 mentioned 55% gametime for White.
Any reason?
Better not be any injury worries, im thinkin of bringin him in...

yes was thinking of the same thing of getting him now he has fallen and i can direct trade with sandi before finals

Thompson against Geelong might work well. Scored 140 odd last time. I also have Goodwin in there, but there's a good chance Ling could take either of them.

Other than that, considering Cornes or Boyd. Not many standout captains this week.
