Inanimate carbon rod got suspended for poor conductBaker and Edwards in for Cole and Cripps
Ruck:
Out: Flynn
In: A Reid or J Williams or Barnett or Miles-Wrency or Naitanui or Inanimate Carbon Rod
What will happen: Flynn stays in team until Bailey is fit. Bailey stinks it up until we want Flynn back. Flynn comes back in, stinks it up until we want Bailey back. Repeat until 2027.
Kelly and Newton can both be good on the spread, like any proper mould. If I am dreaming? Drop Duggan, Cole, Flynn for Baker, Edwards, Kelly
The 3 dropped players to be leaders in the WAFL, Kelly to join the second mid rotation unit, Baker to take Duggan's spot and Edwards to go back to KPD1.
Realistically? Cole for Edwards, Archer for Baker.
I would like Cole to be a leader in the backline at WAFL level and Archer to either play KPD or split ruck 50/50 with Barnett in the WAFL.
1 thing we MUST do sooner rather than later is tighten up our CBA rotation, we had 8 mids attend CBAs on Sunday.

IMO Hough does not need to attend CBAs, Duursma and Bo should be kept to >3/4, McCarthy needs to go up (pending fitness), and we need to introduce a smooth mover or two in the Kelly or Newton mould.

If he misses or is limited, it impacts midfield supply heavily. The bolded is correct. Just didn't clarify it limits the oppositions midfields supply if he isn't there...This was the dead give away:
Important because he’s the Eagles’ No.1 ruck and key to structure.

It did say impact I guess, not negatively impact. The bolded is correct. Just didn't clarify it limits the oppositions midfields supply if he isn't there...

Is it just me or does he look fat? He has no definition and is puffy in the face like he's been on a bulk cycle.I'm optimistic on Elliot Yeo to continue to improve.
Expect him to warm into the season given he missed so much football.
On the weekend his quarter by quarter possession stats were
Q1 - 5
Q2 - 6
Q3 - 4 (2 goals)
Q4 - 2
He obviously faded heavily and had to play forward more. If he can bump up the fitness he'll be back to a ~25 touches midfielder which will be nice.

Just realised he only had 57% Time on Ground. He has a bit of work to do but the upside is there.I'm optimistic on Elliot Yeo to continue to improve.

ThisFlynn is our best ruck, we just have to deal with it. At least he can clunk some marks around the ground.

Maric was pretty good on the weekend, at worst versatile depth. Here's the list of current players we need to get rid of as quick as possible -> Maric, Johnston, Kelly, Owies, Hutchinson and Cole. There is no point playing them as we have enough sample size to know they are not in a potential finals side going forward. Playing them prevents younger talent from getting their shot at proving their worth.

Very stock standard changes. Either Lindsay, CDT or Newton dropped. I wouldn’t be against Kelly playing either as a bit more experience around the midfield
