Speaking of NicNat, I never thought he would ever take 6 marks in a game, let alone 6 contested ones.

Now, after an impressive pre-season, he’s earned a promotion to the Tigers’ senior list.

“He did a lot of work running in the off-season, and he came back and ran some PB’s (in the pre-season),” said Richmond’s senior development coach Mark ‘Choco’ Williams.

“At training, he’s been a standout with his tackling, his chasing and goalkicking . . .

“He’s probably improved as much as any of our young players from last year to this year.”

I think everybody got scared off with his TOG, and the fact he would share ruck work with Lycett and went for the likes of Gawn, however he...

- Rests down forward now, not on the bench
- Isn't the strongest player overhead but he actually knows how to lead which most ruckmen struggle with
- Is very good at ground level for his size
- Has JJK taking the best tall defender
- Is in a very good team that will see a fair bit of ball up forward

and best of all...
he is my R2

It will never happen because he's a burst type athlete, but imagine if he could manage 90%+ TOG like Stef & Goldy. He'd be the #1 SC player by a fair margin.

I watched it and to me it looked like ole Martin couldn't handle the new 90 rotations cap, he was blowing big.

Stef Martin 94% TOG 95 SC Points

If I was you I'd be more worried about Stef Martins 70 sub par scores more so than Nic Nat.

If I was you I'd be more worried about Stef Martins 70 sub par scores more so than Nic Nat.

Stef Martin won't get those low scores though because even if he doesn't ruck well he still gets 20+ touches a game.

Yeah well he got actually tore apart in the game against Nic Nic for hit outs, I reckon Stef Martins ceiling may have dropped this year. It's only been RD 1 but after RD 2 will be interesting.....

the point is Stef still scored 95 after getting wrecked in the ruck (which was always going to happen, it's NicNat).

How has his ceiling dropped? It's the opposite, his ceiling is higher with Luey out..

Yeah his ruck work isn't that good. I don't have him but I still think he's less likely to get sub-70 scores then Gawn, NicNat and Jacobs because even when he goes badly in the ruck like on Sunday he still gets plenty of points from possessions.
