I only hit 5/8 (Winners: Brisbane Lions, Melbourne, Fremantle, Sydney Swans, Geelong; Losers: Carlton, Adelaide, Collingwood)

Well, the only thing that can be done is try again and I'm shooting for 8 out of 8.

Carlton vs. Essendon - Somehow, I just can't see Essendon kicking a winning score with no one to kick it. Carlton

Western Bulldogs vs. Melbourne - I would expect a spirited performance from the young Dogs, but age and experience should see the Dees get away in the 2nd half. Melbourne

Kangaroos vs. Sydney Swans - Always a great contest to watch, and recent history suggests more of the same. A fit & firing pair in Hall and Davis up forward, plenty of rebound out of defence and a tight tussle in the midfield should see us home with the 4 points. Sydney

West Coast Eagles vs. Geelong - Plenty of reasons to like the Eagles chances, home ground, top midfield, etc. But with Harley and Scarlett collecting scalps a real upset could be on the cards. I'm going against conventional thought here and picking the Cats in a thriller. Geelong

Port Adelaide vs. Brisbane Lions - Port dont lose too many games at home, and coming of a Rd 1 loss will be fired up to get a win up. Brisbane travel well, but Port play at home better. Port Adelaide

St. Kilda vs. Fremantle - A real test for the Sainters to see how they stand up after being belted around by Brissie and without he of the golden locks. Freo have a chance to pick up some real early season momentum, and again, I'm probably going against conventional thought but Freo for mine. Fremantle

Collingwood vs. Adelaide - Based on last weeks performance I can't see myself tipping Collingwood too often, but against the Crows in Melbourne you'd have to favour them. Collingwood

Hawthorn vs. Richmond - Ah yes, the match of the round. In what will be an eagerly anticipated match Richo will bag 6, Hawthorn will also bag 6, as a team. Not enough for the Hawks to get home. Richmond.
