Round 2 Tips

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

Carlton-(there pre-season form must muster up some wins!)

Melbourne-(Have the wood over the dogs and should continue
to be that way... should be a close game though)

North-(probably my 50-50 game, but i just think north's young guns
will fight their way through)

West Coast(Lets not get delusional, the cats beat richmond!, not the BL!, West Coast will be too strong at home)

Port Adelaide(they'll unveil their premiership flag and will show the competition that they'll be up there again this year)

St.Kilda-(despite the absense of Reiwoldt, the saints will still be too strong with their super talented list)

Collingwood-(two ordinary teams to produce an ordinary match... pies should win at home though)

Richmond-("Revenge of the spoons Rnd 2" should produce a spooner of a match where it isn't the best team on the day but the not so worse team on the day)

St. Kilda vs. Fremantle - Fremantle
Collingwood vs. Adelaide - Adelaide
Hawthorn vs. Richmond - Richmond

Gawd. ********ing hard round. I got 7 this week but wouldnt be suprised if I only got one this week.... lol

I got 4 right last round

Carlton vs. Essendon - Carlton won't play two shockers in a row. We were the hunted against the Kangers but this round should give the boys a fresh start. For some reason I think playing at night is a factor. Our entire preseason was under lights. Expect to see some Friday Night Fevola.
Tip - Carlton

Western Bulldogs vs. Melbourne - I'm not sure which team played the worse opponent last week, but the dees looked clinical, whereas Bulldogs should have been belted in the first half.
Tip- Melbourne

Kangaroos vs. Sydney Swans - I wonder if the Kangeroos will try to flood in this game also. I suspect Hall will be a handful either way.
Tip- Sydney

West Coast Eagles vs. Geelong - I'm not sure what kind of form indicator it is to belt Richmond seeing as it's been the norm the last 10 months. Geelong always lose on the road.
Tip- West Coast

Port Adelaide vs. Brisbane Lions - Brisbane played well last week but are too undermanned to beat the reigning premiers at home.
Tip- Port Adelaide

St. Kilda vs. Fremantle - I'm guessing it's at the phone dome. St Kilda tend to kick big scores there. Could be a belting.
Tip- St Kilda

Collingwood vs. Adelaide - Cracker! Neil Craig is absolute crap I must say. He'll be under all sorts of pressure after this match.
Tip- Collingwood

Hawthorn vs. Richmond - Looking forward to this one! Richmond have the forwards to win this game comfortably but their weak mentality could see them undone.
Tip- Hawthorn

Hahaha, what we were flooding??

hahahaha, thats the funniest thing i've heard all day... What on earth were Teague, Morrell and co doing in that first half.... definetly not trying to score goals.... they were trying to make the game an absolute horror to watch, which it was until the 2nd half... :D

"St. Kilda vs. Fremantle - I'm guessing it's at the phone dome. St Kilda tend to kick big scores there. Could be a belting.
Tip- St Kilda"

A bit further south than telstra dome mate

Funkalicious: A quote from the commentators (Roos v Blues) "Carlton does not have one player within 90 metres of goal". We flooded? Yeah right-e-o!

great minds think alike :p......

Carlton vs. Essendon - Carlton
Western Bulldogs vs. Melbourne - Melbourne

West Coast Eagles vs. Geelong - West Coast
Port Adelaide vs. Brisbane Lions - Brisbane

Looking for another 8 this week (but Round 2 appears tougher on paper) :)

Carlton vs. Essendon

Carlton by 3 goals

Footscray vs. Melbourne

Melbourne (Dogs coming off a 5 day break)

North Melbourne vs. South Melbourne

North by 4 goals

West Coast Eagles vs. Geelong

Weagles by plenty

Port Adelaide vs. Fitzroy

Lions in another close one

St. Kilda vs. Fremantle

Freo in a thriller

---------------------------------------------------

2nd division - relegation zone matches....

Collingwood vs. Adelaide

Adelaide

Hawthorn vs. Richmond

Coburg by 3 goals over Box Hill

Carlton vs. Essendon - Carlton by 1 - Anyones game - midfield the difference
Western Bulldogs vs. Melbourne - Melbourne by 68 - Top 4 vs Bottom 4
Kangaroos vs. Sydney Swans - Kangaroos by 11 - Kangas always start the year well
West Coast Eagles vs. Geelong - West Coast Eagles by 20 - Home ground advantage
Port Adelaide vs. Brisbane Lions - Port Adelaide by 32 - Reigining premiers wont go 0-2
St. Kilda vs. Fremantle - St. Kilda - Freo by 9 - Freo too many options for Saints
Collingwood vs. Adelaide - Collingwood - Adelaide by 41 - Ricciuto and McLeod murder to hapless Pies
Hawthorn vs. Richmond - Hawthorn - Hawks by 13 - Spirt wins out in this one.

Carlton vs. Essendon - Carlton - Hard one to pick so early in the year but my gut instinct says Carlton by 10 pts
Western Bulldogs vs. Melbourne - Melbourne too strong. Dogs looked good but Melbourne by 34 pts
Kangaroos vs. Sydney Swans - Sydney look dangerous. Sydney by 26 pts
West Coast Eagles vs. Geelong - I understand Total Package made a $50 bet with rampantswan and Micketts (it happened so long ago I can't quite remember the exact detail). I think Frank from Canning Vale will be up $100. West Coast by 28 pts
Port Adelaide vs. Brisbane Lions - Port will struggle but so will Brisbane. When the forward pressure got too much for Port Choco threw Tredrae down back and that's when they lost it. But I don't think Brisbane's forwards would be able to do that at AAMI. Port by 13pts
St. Kilda vs. Fremantle - The Antarctica clash. The Saints will be too good, Freo to put up a fight but even St.Kilda, Riewoldt or no Riewoldt will be too strong. Saints by 15 pts
Collingwood vs. Adelaide - Battle of the cellar dwellers I. Should be low scoring due to another Noah's Ark-like flood. Adelaide looked more threatening though for mine so I'll go a roughy in Adelaide.
Hawthorn vs. Richmond - Battle of the cellar dwellers II. Should be a good match to be honest because it will be a scrap. Richmond have more targets up forward though so I tip them by 24 points.

Hard to pick in the end for some of those matches

Iand I'm shooting for 8 out of 8.

Here we go:
Don't let incidentals like injuries, suspensions, late withdrawals, weather etc cloud your judgment.

Tip- Sydney

Pagan himself said the Roos had watched Carlton plenty in the WC and they had flooded, he believed Laidley was smart enough to counter this. This aside, you're a sore loser, we were the far better side.

Me, nah. Go by feeling. At least I don't let biases cloud my judgement. Picked vs. the Dons 2 straight weeks. Here on BF, that has to be considered a miracle. (ESS supporter picking vs. ESS, COLL/COLL, WCE/WCE)

Carlton
Melbourne
North
Geelong
Port
St Kilda
Collingwood
Richmond
