Wouldnt trade Barlow. The whole team played shit, he's in no danger of getting dropped because he's essentially a walk up starter. He'll come good just stick with him

Thinking:

Simpkin -> Papley
Greene -> Kennedy

Worried a bit that I'm jumping on Kennedy after he destroyed Brisbane and he'll drop off now, but not sure..

Worth holding Berger for another week? How about Simpkin?

Really want to get rid of these guys. Could replace them with Papley and zSmith. Thoughts?

Berger through away. Z. Smith will go up in price again, so you may loose your window if you wait a week. Its not like Luey was up against A grade rucks verse the GC.

The other trade is good if you have nothing else to do. Papley wont normally score 79 I dont think, but we are versing Carlton so he has an oppurtunity to kick a couple.

S.Martin >> Hickey
Cowan >> Sheridan

Means I can put Harwood on the bench and if Howe plays then my only non-playing player should be Currie.
I started with $190K in the bank so the above trades leave me with $214K, plenty to get M.Crouch to Gaz next week if Crouch doesn't fire.

I have McGovern, Gault, Kommer in my forward line, chance for none of them to end up playing next week... Not to mention Howe in defence.

I guess it's wait and see who gets a game, but thinking of using one trade to go Gawn to Hickey. It's a risk but seems like he could be a better stepping stone and it'd free up a nice chunk of cash. What do you guys think?

I think Hickey could be in for a break out year, even if you halve his 56 HO's, he still got 20 possessions on the weekend. I reckon he could average 90-95.

Howe's got the axe hovering over his head but not willing to trade out until later in the week. May still be a Hodge replacement.

Apart from that maybe Martin who has Goldstein and Smith in the next fortnight. With 79 in Round 1 he'd need to pump out some big scores to avoid a price drop as well.

Massive risk in Gawn to Hickey. Gawn's got the Bombers this week so party time for the bearded man.

But sometimes you need to risk it to get the biscuit and save some cash.

Non-performers - Greene, Steele, Fyfe, Harwood & Gault.

Had Papley in & upgraded to Gault on JS concerns. Have rage traded Greene to Viney & Gault to Papley. Feel better!

Worried about Fyfe - has a corky. Last time he had a corky it put him out for a while, but that was aSammy special. Didn't look flash in the third NAB and not good when you play a full game and score less than Zac Dawson. If he is doubt late in the week may be prudent to switch to Priddis.

Nic Nat looked awesome. Fittest I have seen him. Toying with upgrading Gawn.

Happy to keep Howe. Think once he gets game time he will be okay. Unlucky not to get picked yesterday. Early season defenders are always patchy and hard to pick. Shaw had 8 clangers, not characteristic so could have scored huge.

Fantasy scoring sometimes seems surreal and unconnected to what we see on tv. FFS Dangerfield 137 Lewis 134. Hawk supporters are right in calling for Lewis' blood. Should be his last year is the consensus on the Hawk forum! Lobbe scoring 96 after being thrashed was a surprise.

Robinson -> S.Gray
Seedsman -> Wilson? Not sure about this one

Spears me with 138k, not sure if i should do it or not, who should i trade for seedsman?

I know its early to trade Jelwood but thoughts on:
Jelwood to Sam Gray (Via Wells) or Lachie Hunter
Tippa to Weitering

OR

Jelwood to De Goey
Tippa to Mckenzie or Wilson

OR

Jelwood to Sheridan
Tippa to McKenzie/Wilson

OR another few alternative options without trading a premium:

Frost to Cox
Tippa to Marchbank

OR

Harwood to Weitering
Tippa to A 125k rookie that is named.

So many options going through my head!

Will work, I can see this working well, what do you see McKenzie averaging? 80? If so,

It's pretty much:
Jelwood (100) to Sam Gray (90)
Tippa (50 if lucky) to McKenzie (80)
Yeah IMO he's an 80 average but he might exceed expectations

Behind the scenes Trent hasn't been a hard worker and has cruised along for quite some time - something the club has made clear is no longer acceptable. So in a sense it's buyer beware, because he could get sent back to the twos if he has a relapse, but there's inherent risk with every player with injuries etc so it probably shouldn't be a dealbreaker, just think you should know so you don't come to my house with a pitchfork haha

FWIW I have Trent in my team

Not sure if I should be chasing rookies or side trading my premiums. I think Ill back my judgement with premiums for another week and get the rookies in to make some cash...
I hope Harwood will score better this week. At the moment it's looking like...

Tippa/Harwood > M. Adams
Kommer > Papley

None of my rookies did bad enough to trade. I probably should trade Simpkin or McT but the options in the FWD and DEF that i dont already have arent worth it

Im sideways-ing this week, downgrading next week and then probably looking to get into a one up - one down rythm by Round 4 or 5

Depends what other issues you have. I'm planning to hold Berger and Simpkin as I expect both to improve this week...if not, they'll be gone next week.

I'll sideways Robbo to Gazza depending how he pulls up. I prefer upgrading Tippa and menzal to paps.

Im backing my selections that spuded it up. I have a plan to get Gazza next week as I have cash in the bank.

Why are the break evens not updated on footywire.com?

Are there break evens elsewhere?
Has been that way on footywire since the switch to weekly price changes. The AF formula for price changes is a closely guarded secret, so I'm not sure you can get the exact BEs without subscribing to Assistant Coach. Footywire will have estimates (close estimates) after round 2.

im a little bit torn this week. Would ideally like to get papley in, but not stressed if I cant. Menadue + McCarthy are rather decent as rookies.

Do I stick with gaff as my pod in the midfield, and hope he improves on his 87?. He was my consistency pick, I had gray before, but backed gaff in to average more, even if his scope to get the bigger scores isn't as high.

33 touches, but lots of handball receives which aren't great for fantasy.

My other option:

Martin to Dahlhaus
Salem to Sheridan

Was reading that robbo was out for 1-2. Anyone heard anything concrete on this?
