I must say its hard to let go of Fritta. What a phenomenal rookie he has been.

Anyway, my midfield is complete! And all of those match ups look very juicy...good luck going into finals those that were lucky enough to make it!

I've already downgraded Crossley > Frampton to generate some cash. Now have 108k to spend on my second trade. Not sure which starter I should upgrade, as my lowest 4 averaging starters 5 game averages are all around the 100 mark. Maybe a second benchie downgrade like Mihocek > Dawson? Would give me a swing with Ahern

McLean for mine. He's really gone downhill since his injury and Dunkley taking on that midfield role. I'd actually get Dunkley and then keep the remaining cash for next week, with what you have on field

Im a little stuck as to what to do this week. Ahern is my worry in my head to head as well as Curnow but I don't see Ahern outscoring Curnow so I'm looking at going

If I roll with Ahern on field, then I have the cash to go:
Savage -> Lloyd
Ed Curnow -> Coniglio.

Would be ever so short of Macrae, but feel they are both significant upgrades. (Alternatively upgrade Neale/Beams/Zorko for Macrae but not sure that would be as significant an upgrade, and I like GWS fixture anyway so would be keen to get Cogs).
If I win next week in my home league I'll perhaps double downgrade and then get Ahern -> Macrae for final 2 weeks. Down to just 265k difference, should be another 30k closer next week, and 50-60k closer in 2 weeks.

Upgrade Stef to Grundy through downgrading Sier.

This is the stage of the season though that I really begin to lose interest. Even though it's 'finals', you know those leagues where most people don't know what they're doing? Yeah I'm only in those leagues so winning them means nothing to me...

Walters had a decent second half (59pts?) so I might hold him for the derby.
Had planned to upgrade him at half time (9pts)

But can now look at bringing in Macrae for either
Martin, Curnow or Shuey.

No doubt Freeman will debut, all the long awaited rookies seem to on a week where I've got two upgrades planned.

Ryder (still carrying injury, who knows if he'll last)

Some epic ruck battles for both but I'd back Grundy in for more points.

I'm in a similar boat getting Macrae..
Curnow had a pretty consistent game 25/25/25/22 over the 4 quarters so wasn't terrible.
If I win this week I get the week off which is the week Macrae comes up against North (even though lingering concussion may rule out the Jacobs tag, it's still 2 weeks away so who knows)

Who to upgrade first?

Normally Goldy to Grundy would be a no brainer, but he is averaging 110 over the last 5 weeks and I have Shuey (104 last 3) and Parker (98 last 5).

Goldy is averaging only 1pt less than Gawn the last 5 rounds and I don’t see anybody wanting to offload him. Plus 15pts per game more than Stef the last 5.

Am I correct in going Parker/Shuey to Macrae before Goldy to Grundy?

Really at a cross roads. Ahern should go big again against Lions I would hope, so happy to start him again if De Goey misses.. which then makes me think I may as well ditch De Goey this week.

I really want to swap Stef up to Grundy while I still can, but also need to address one of Shuey/JPK this week. Really wish I had a third trade!!

The only cash cows I have left worth any money are Big O, Sier (who I hope returns) and J Smith.

I can go Big O to Abbott, but leaves me no ruck cover. But does let me go Buddy to Dunkley, which is a big upgrade at the minute. Also leaves me with either C’OR or J Smith on field - again !!!!

I was hoping to save that cash to get Grundy, but that seems an impossibility at the minute. Need 140k to upgrade Sinclair...

I could grab Witherden, and generate a small amount of cash - but Buddy is just leaking cash at the minute...

Brayshaw in for Hurley was set last night, and like last week with Macrae, I ain't moving that shit. You think I should do something else? Well come to my house and say it to my face. I will make you a coffee, we can sit and talk, I'll hear you out, and then I'll slowly roll up a newspaper and tap your snout while saying "NO.. It's Brayshaw, alright".

I like the the 4th option to be honest. The others seem more sideways and don't get you who you want. With this option, you get a top 3 defender and you play Ahern on field who has shown he has a fantasy game about him. Means that next week you have a ton of cash to double upgrade if need be
