Losing Glass is a worry, must have done something at training.

I can't see Selwood and Haynes making the cut. Excellent to see Embers back as well.

Final cuts expected tomorrow:

In: Gardiner, Embley, Green, McDougall
Out: Glass, Siera, Read, Haynes

I/C (from): Chambers, Staker, Green, Haynes, Hunter, Read, Selwood

Chambers
Staker
Green
Hunter

Thats who Id keep in, haynesy is very unlucky but i think a week minimum in the WAFL is what he needs to get him breathing fire again. Plays well enough and someone in the seniors doesnt = Derby Spot.

Also Seira has been dropped, as was expected, but it is still unlucky for him. Just woth Gards and Doogs back he was always going to be the one who missed out. Good on him for getting 2 more games though, didnt better in both wherever he played than some of the others playing.

Read would be pretty unlucky. He tagged Mcleod out of the game against Adelaide and held Chapman i think against Geelong.
Anyone apart from Selwood would be unlucky to be dropped.
Some of those in the starting line-up are pretty damn lucky to be there IMO.

Like who?

If you look at .

B: Wirrpunda, McIntosh, Collica
HB: Braun, Jakovich, Banfield
C: Judd, Cousins, Embley
HF: Chick, McDougall, Jones
F: Matera, Cox, Sampi
FOLL: Gardiner, Kerr, Fletcher

It all looks plausible as is except for the HB line looks suspect though. Braun will almost certainly not start off the HBF, whilst I'm doubtful Jakovich will be first port of call at CHF. Chances are both of these players will be on the interchange bench. That means, there are places in the team for HB flankers and someone capable of playing CHB. Hunter is pretty much a certainty as he is our only other real key defender.

Chambers will definitely not miss- he's been absolutely fantastic this last fortnight. Which means, there are 2 places left for Green, Haynes, Read, Staker and Selwood. Selwood is probably a no-show. My tip is that with Chambers and Braun playing, the squeeze is on Read, as a third interchange bench midfielder- Staker will probably go before Haynes.

So, my tip- IB: Green, Haynes, Chambers, Hunter.

Staker or Read may get a guernsey if Embley isn't fit. The other possibility Jakovich as a late 'injury' withdrawal.

I hope Haynes isn't dropped - he hasn't had the best couple of weeks, but you can't blame the FF for that.

I think we're still abit unsure on Embley.... so he could be a late withdrawl, as could Jako for the lack of a match up, although I doubt that.

So if both play, the bench will be:
Chambers, Green, Haynes, Hunter

if only Jakovich plays;
Chambers, Green, Staker, Haynes and Hunter starting HBF, with Braun starting wing

if only Embley plays;
Chambers, Green, Staker, Haynes and Hunter starting CHB

if neither plays;
Chambers, Read, Staker, Haynes and Hunter starting CHB and Green starting HBF with Braun starting wing

Selwood I don't think will play, and I'd be suprised to see Ready play. Hasn't done too bad lately, but the midfield's been the problem and perhaps Woosha will wanna give some of them a shake up.

Surprised Staker was dropped and not Selwood.

As if Haynes would be dropped...very unlikely IMO
Yes, as IF !

I am VERY surprised. Gardy will certainly be pushed to FF but he has never looked good at FF when playing there before, CHF has been his other success. Now if playing a tall who is not fast leading doesnt work we dont have the successful Haynes/Fido option to go back to. Last week Neitz played a fair while at FB. He may do so again and negate Gardy.
But Woosha seems to be giving youngsters a rest, Doogs last week, Sampi the week before and now Haynes. I think we will still win and Haynsie will not be out for long.

You're very biased in favour of Haynes. Based on the last few weeks he doesn't deserve his spot.

Now it's up to him to perform in the lower grade and get back in quickly (which he should easily do).

It's not so much bias as lack of perception of a better alternative. With haynes at FF we are the top scoring AFL side. When we have tried other options they have been ineffective. I agree that Haynes is not a Matty Lloyd but our only other credible alternative is BB, and most believe he will be d4elisted at season end. Okay the Melbourne game may be right for a tall structure as the Dees are undermanned but try it against Freo and we will be stuffed.

i am highly inpressed with embleys regenerative abilities. 3 weeks off with a broken collarbone. i really thought he was a smokey.
I still don't think he'll play - expect Green to come in.

Kasey Green played - well, though he seemed a bit angry and I thought the umpire was going to report him at one stage, though I don't think he did (only 50) - for East Fremantle against a DISAPPOINTING West Perth yesterday.

But no Brent Staker for the Sharks, so he's in for someone. One presumes Embley, but you never know with the Eagles.
