Big day today for Sam Butler, Bailey MacDonald and Cam Mackenzie to put forth their best efforts and put pressure on the guys who played last night.

Hearing Day has pulled up well, just had severe cramping in the last quarter and the icing of the feet is precautionary.

The 4 tall structure on the wider MCG might be a better option than the narrower Adelaide Oval.

Big week ahead for the team.

Almost had a cardiac arrest when I saw them working on his feet. Great news

I’ve woken up very conflicted. Very close to beating the top team on their home ground but we also have some clear issues with our team. The big question is are these teething problems with players finding form after injury or do we need changes in personnel? I think a bit of both. Newmo mentioned big games coming up today for the 3 guys I was thinking of could come in. I wouldn’t mind Butler and Frenchy in for Worpel and Nash and BMac in for one of the talls. Too much change or do we have nothing to lose?

don't think we should go changing two of our mainstay midfielders when we only just got everyone back and healthy. they need to build syngergy. i would go Worps for Butler and then think about whether we try the four talls for one more week. maybe Croc goes to sub

Give Butler, BMac and McKenzie 3 quarters today and bring them in for Worps, CMac and Lewis.
On second thoughts I agree with you Flag08, CMac should make way before Nash. And of the talls to go out it probably is Lewis.

have Butler and McKenzie full time mid for three quarters at BH today which whoever performs better comes in for Worpel. Four talls was a bit awkward tonight but will work against the Pies if they get Howe back. Need one tall to drag him away whilst Dear or Chol expose Moore. We saw what Freo did to the Pies a few weeks ago and think we are a chance to do the same

This game will be won and lost on whether we can stop the pies transition game out of our back half as well as getting our own transition game going.

We beat them comfortably in clearances last time we played them as well as winning the inside 50’s.

Problem was as soon as they won the ball they were able to move the ball up the field and score with impunity. Every time they transitioned the ball from d50 to their f50 they scored. Plus we have to sort out our transition game offensively. Can’t afford to let them lock the ball in their f50 like the crows did.

Think Butler is playing today in Qld. Be a very short break to be playing Thursday.
But Collingwood will be doing the same as they play tonight

I reckon we retain the 4 talls and substitute Meek in the third to allow Chol to do the rucking for the remainder

Move Impey forward for the game and bring in a quick small defender to replace him

Outs - C MacDonald, Worpel
Ins - Mitchell/Bmac, Butler/Frenchie
