News on TV reported the Hawks HOPE Buddy will be fit to play. Potentially a last minute withdrawal again?

Cannot take any more risks with Buddy and may have no cover on bench in the forward line.

Given I have Buddy, Pav and Fyfe very worried this week given the injury concerns hanging over all of them.

Yep, flipping and flopping on him as I only have 1 trade left. Was gonna swap him for Pavlich, but I was nervous about him also. Already have Beams, Sidebottom and Danger up fwd, so outside of Pav I don't know who to get.

Yes. he could be another option too. Much to think about, we will have to wait until Thursday and then make my decision. If Franklin had of played last week it would have made my decision much easier, but having a 6 week layoff and his scores in the 70's and 80's against Sydney and WC earlier in the year makes me might nervous.

Consider Ryan O'Keefe as an option as he is in good form; last 6 weeks he scored well over 100 with the exception of one game when he scored 96.

Option 1 - Pav to Beams and Giles to Jacobs

Option 2 - Giles to Mumford (free up cash and more consistent) and Lake to H.Shaw

Option 3 - Gibson to Sidebottom (creates a DPP link allowing me to move Sidebottom fwd, bench Martin/Zorko who will be emerg and keep Pav in the side) and Giles to Mumford/Sandilands

Option 4 - D.Smith to Sidebottom and Giles to Mumford (will have no DPP link)

Option 4 easily for mine

The thing is I don't need another fwd or mid, but given the doubt over Pav and Fyfe the cover could be handy. I should add that Gibson and Smith are both on my bench. So probably thought Smith was a starter so I can see why you jumped at Option 4.

Just means I am left having to start Lake or Newman in the backline, but I guess given the way the backs have scored this year no one is a safe bet.

I would risk playing with Buddy, and upgrade Lake to Waters.

Myself, I am tossing up whether to trade Franklin to Hawkins PLUS Lake to Waters, leaving me with one trade and enough cash to upgrade Gibson to Swan next week. Now that Pendlebury has possibly injured his knee, later in the week depending on the news, I now might keep Franklin and Lake, and upgrade Pendles to Swan and Gibson to Murphy..... I am so glad there are only 2 weeks left
