dropping hoges would be a smart move, no vfl as injury insurance, he can have the xtra week off to think about his shabby kicking and his future before freshening up and launching into pre season.

If they drop Hogan for his performance today you won't see him in a melbourne jumper ever again

In: Give Dawes, Terlich and Dunn each a farewell game, Garlett to return
Out: Michie (why he was put in in the first place is beyond me), rest Hogan (won without him last year), Kent (ankle), drop Vince to put the fear of God into the rest of them. Show them nobody is safe from the axe, not even the reigning best and fairest winner.

I will throw up if Dawes and Terlich are ever seen wearing our jumper again.

But I do agree with dropping Vince! He has been very ordinary at times this year. Maybe it's because he's played across half back for some of it, but he's been a liability for some games or non existent in others. Drop him and make him earn his spot back before the season starts next year. Bring Trengove in for him. Whatever, I really don't give two sh*ts tbh. Just play the kids and see what happens..

Farewell games for Grimes and Trengove too.
ANB and VDB out.

#DunnOrRiot ...oh what's the point!?

Bernie always plays well when he's close to being suspended, I hate the Bernie Vince who gets through the game looking laconic
Seriously someone should punch him in the rooms before the game
So he's like a saiyan, they get stronger every time they almost die. Well with the gold hair i should have expected it

He reminds me of James Magner
Just got nothing that makes him better than anyone else and nothing you can see that says 'hey that could really improve in 20 games'
I never minded Terlich he was never gonna be a gun but he would have done a better job than ANB as the defensive forward
Poor ANB will probably be dropped for that and it's not his fault

But of favoritism here. ANB didn't look like he was trying too hard IMO.

I have to agree with you. Thought he was running "loosely" today, along with viv

I honestly think Kent is escaping lightly here. Was non existent today.

Also the damn point post ruined Hogan! Now Petracca seemed to have lost it after hitting the Goal post. The posts somehow ruin confidence

Kent is our barometer i reckon everytime he plays good we win or get close and everytime he goes missing we look like shit.
Well from what i can remember anyway.

Brilliant.

I did notice some piss poor efforts from ANB but I think it's silly to play a guy as a small forward when he doesn't even play reserves their
It's the hardest job to do on the ground because you can spend the whole game running to the wrong spots

Kent spent a fair bit of time off the ground injured (ankle I think?) and looked limited when he came back on. Still, that kick to absolutely no one in the last quarter was awful regardless of injury.

Definitely could have done with Pedo's bigger body in yesterday's game. Was just dumb bringing Weid in when we knew it was most likely going to be wet. Has struggled in wet conditions in the VFL all year, which is not surprising for a skinny 19 year old. May as well play him in the final game of the year though seeing as it's a dead rubber, although I wouldn't be against Hulett getting a run just for the **** of it.

As for next week, out Michie, Kent (if injured), ANB, VDB

In: Salem (try him up forward), Grimes (farewell game?), Trenners, Garlett

Vince can get stuffed too, been putrid for a while.

**** me man, i don't know where to go with this. havent been able to sleep all night so figure id post in here

we've made progress as a side this year no doubt, we've hit the 10 win mark and should finish with a % of over 100 barring a geelong belting.

STILL

there are quite a few question marks over us:

- goodwins tactics. that is twice this year we have gone into a wet game (first hawks game and today) and have gone WAY too overboard on handballing. also when we actually kicked it we had way too many short kicks. what is wrong with playing a man on man territory style? we're better talent-wise than carlton, i dont care if their forwardline is more open DON'T LET THEM HAVE A LOOSE MAN FFS. we also did absolute nothing out of the box to try and turn things around. why not try hunt forward? hogan in the middle? petracca in the middle?

- hogan and to a lesser extent petracca when it comes to set shots. both of them drop the ball way too high and they don't even hold the ball correctly....

- VDB and bugg. love the way both of them play but they will very quickly become depth in the next 2 years as we improve further

- our leaders inability to stand up in a game like this. i understand the same players have had some very good games against much better opposition, but when you're playing like shit against a team who you should be rolling, you need the leaders to step up and drag you over the line. we saw none of that today. jones viney gawn and tyson were disgusting, i know max has had a superb year but it is a big worry that if he isn't impacting the game we look awful (not completely his fault but he really should have done better today). tmac as a leader gets a pass, continues his very good 2nd half of the season form

- selection. i know we've harped on it, but could see that weideman selection biting us on the arse a mile off. not weids fault as he is still a kid, but 7 disposals, 0 tackles and 0.0 on the scoreboard? no way pedersen plays that poorly. also ANB should be traded if they refuse to play him as a midfielder because we are wrecking the guys career playing him as a small forward. he wins the ball at VFL level, he isn't overly quick nor has great skills SO WHY THE **** IS HE PLAYING A POSITION THAT REQUIRES BOTH OF THOSE. michie was eh but i still question the point of including him in the side when he is surely gone at seasons end. don't give me that 'rewarding form' crap because if we were enforcing that grimes would have played more than 2 games in 2016

- bernie won't play beyond 2017, not a chance in hell. although i think he was well worth the trade and has been a great pickup for us, his form has gone to shit and he is being played out of position in defence. he simply doesn't have the speed or intercept ability to play down there in a top 8 side, play him in the middle and rotate him forward, he is a lovely kick for goal ffs utilize it!

- i am a frost fan and he is still only 40 games into his career, but he is making mcdonald on a bad day-level errors and is copping no criticism when he should for it. you are clearly a shit kick frosty, you are banned from kicking the ball inside 50 unless it is an emergency

- leadership up forward. havent seen it mentioned but we desperately need someone who can keep the structure organized out on the ground. it went to absolute shit today (yes, wasn't helped by weid being effectively useless). hogan was the only guy who looked like winning a contest but he spent 80% of the game outside the F50

having said all that, there were a couple positives. tmac and jetta were fantastic, oliver will probably be the best mid at the club in 2 years and hunt did exactly what we need him to do in the back half.

i think we should play finals next year, we have the talent to do so. however this dropping easy games shit is now a huge monkey on the clubs back and it wont go away until we start beating these sides comfortably (LIKE WE SHOULD BE DOING)

also to anyone who says 'told you you shouldnt have been confident' you can GAGF, as much as the MFC loves to disappoint us supporters can get as confident as they want, id much rather be confident going into games than a nervous wreck

out: weideman, michie
in: pedersen, trengove

weid won't learn much playing down at geelong in a flogging, and id rather give trenners one last shot at playing HBF than waste more time with michie. id suggest farewell games for dunn and garland but i honestly think we will keep them on as both are contracted and the club won't go ham paying out a bunch of blokes just to draft kids in the 50s

I know of a rumoured inclusions that may be good for the team, but am not allowed to say who :(

Pardon the intrusion

Last time you played at KP was Boris' 300. Big Maxy discovered what his big frame and confidence can do - the team gelled like never before and you bitch slapped us to a rather embarrassing state. Full credit to MFC and we deserved every slap we got.

Given that this season is done for you guys ( youll be better again next year IMO) are there any best 22 you think are carrying injures and wont play?

We really need the win..... lol

Go Catters

Yeah good call.
God he looked lethargic yesterday and if he wasn't butchering it himself, he was selling blokes into trouble with a sh*t handball at their feet with someone on their hammer.
He's better than that.

To be honest, I wouldn't even be mad if we went in with this team this week. Give the other blokes a wake up call, plus it gives us one last look before the break.

B:
Terlich, Dunn, Wagner
HB: Hunt, Garland, White
C: Grimes, Stretch, MJones
HF: Newton, Weideman, Michie
F: Dawes, Hullett, JKH
R: Spencer, ANB, Trengove
I: Bugg, Kennedy, Harmes, Pedersen

If terlich comes in he should be a forward pocket, hes been playing that at casey most of the year and has actually looked alright there (note: i don't want him in)
