Richards - ok so there were some errors, but hey he wasn't alone. Showed some raw pace and good judgement in the air. Definite keeper.

Naughton - lacks strength but has a real crack. Took a couple of grabs. Poor fella is being forced to play 1st or 2nd defender with Morris and Adams out.

Gowers - some good strong marks. Kicking can be improved but looks like a natural footballer.

English - getting to the right spots. Obviously lacking strength against two of the biggest bodied rucks in the game. Stays in for me as long as his body holds up.

Wood - took some great marks in the second half which will do wonders for his confidence.

Honeychurch - showing spirit when others are floundering.

Honestly think Stringer will outscore us.
I worry how quick the bombers are and we won't be able to keep up considering how we can't be ****** running at the moment.
50+ loss coming and i think this week will honestly be our worse for the yr.

LOL - thanks for your contribution to the POSITIVES thread.

The positives are a few young guys that really look like footballers. Richards, Naughton, English and Gowers considering they have collectively amassed about 10 (?) games, have shown plenty already. The bit I don’t understand is how we have gone from Premiers 18 months ago, to a team using 4 rookies and 2 or 3 non AFL standard players as supposedly our best 22.

The main positive is you're playing Essendon this week. A team you have well and truly 'owned' over the last few seasons... you will include the likes of Redpath, Wallis and potentially Boyd (?) for the game next week and have what many see (not sure why) an unexpected victory.

The fixture has blessed you because we are the undisputed best side to play when a club is 'out of form' and looking seemingly hopeless.

You're a good club with a good list (yes, the first two games have surprised me a little) but you will turn it around.

With our injuries we should continue to play the kids so they can gain some experience before our more experienced players can come back. Need to bring in a few more natural forwards into the side though.

Macrae hitting the scoreboard and playing angry is a massive positive for us. We've known that he's been a prolific ball winner from day one, but his unwillingness to 'take the shot' has kept him just beyond any calculation when it comes to naming our best player or ranking him amongst the elite mids of the game. That notion may well have to be re-assesd real soon.

thanks, it often takes an outsider to make sense and see the reality of a situation. we are not that bad and this can be turned around. we are a very young side with injuries to a number of key players. that is a major setback atm

Kind and respectful thoughts but we are in disarray at present. You could not pick a better time to get us and Stringer will have taken a week off fried chicken and fast women to spring his elaborate revenge on us.

I'm loving the new Macrae. So angry and determined. Could be a potential captain option in the future.
