Well here it is. I woke up early so I thought I'd get it started.
I won't make any wild predictions so as not to curse us but with our team still being down on some key personnel I will take a good solid win with absolutely no injuries.
A few things I'll be keen to watch tonight;
Will Eddie finally show he's still the magic man?
Can Gov come out of his mini slump?
Can CEY and Murphy continue put their hand up for a regular spot?
And one of the biggest questions of all, will JJ continue his form and style of play from last week or will he be the JJ of the GF?
We'll find out in about 12 hours.

Just win.

And if it's a bit sloppy and we get over the line by only a few goals, for God's sake please don't melt. It's a long season - we just need to accumulate wins while we're a bit banged up. If we lose... well, melt like there's no tomorrow.

It’s at Etihad isn’t it. If it’s sloppy we should melt a bit because the conditions won’t be the reason.

St Kilda will come out ferociously. This is their season really. 0-3 you're making up numbers. Supposedly have had a 'line in the sand' week on the track.

Reckon if we can withstand their first quarter huff and puff we'll win comfortably. Just need to make sure we don't get jumped.

This is also a line in the sand game for Atkins in my opinion. I suspect that he has had the riot act read to him. I expect him to respond. If he doesn't there are a number in the SANFL who will only need a good game to take his place. Will be interesting to see what Atkins is make of.

Not discounting your point about them coming out firing, but StK are 1-1 atm. Got the W in round 1 against Brisbane.

Not sure about anyone else, but my interest in watching the Game has waned a bit since Fog was dropped.

Not because it was a 'bad' call or anything, but I genuinely just loved what watching him play football.
Tell me about it... I have really enjoyed watching the kid play the past four games... especially his agression at the contest.

Lynch better play a fu*kin blinder...

would u say the same if he was injured? I get he is great to watch but hell watching lynchy hitting Tex on the chest whilst on the run gives me a chubby too [emoji2]

Honestly, yes. I'm OK with the selection as it is the right call, that much is obvious. But there are certain players that just add a whole new dimension to watching a game, and Fog is one of those few.

We have walloped the Saints the last few times and tonight should be no different.

I just worry that some of our weaker players will turn in 'good' performances and it will paper over their cracks.

Although for players such as Betts and Gov who we know should be doing better it could give them the much needed taste of form to get their seasons on track.

But of course the priority is 4 pts so we should really just focus on that now that the team is set.

Oh yeah... whoops. Heard the line in the sand stuff on 3aw this week and just assumed. Must have meant in reaction to their diabolical game vs North

We took 106 marks last week. According to Dougie on 5aa last night it's a style of play we have been working on. Is that sort of possession, precision game going to work in September?

It worked for Hawthorn against the likes of West Coast and Fremantle.

It did not work for Sydney and us against the pressure teams of Footscray and Richmond

JJ, time to show you're up for doing the tough things week in, week out.

St Kildas defense are vulnerable, put them to the sword.
Totally agree and I'd extend that to the whole side in general.

We need to see if this side has a ruthless streak. The Saints are down and we need to keep the foot on the throat.
