F*** the weather! I'll be there and all other Dees supporters better turn up too. Fairweather supporters can kiss my ass.

/2cents.

the good - the first half of my Essendon Melbourne multi came off :D
picking up those awesome prints from chopper today
we can win

the bad - we can loose
if we do loose then my awesome Essendon Melbourne multi isn't so awesome at all

the fugly - I may have wasted my money on that Essendon Melbourne multi
:(

The Good
- We f***ing won
- This season we are the number 1 tackling team in the competition
- Junior's epic tackling and desperation that lasted the entire game
- Grimes is an absolute superstar
- Whoever Frawley lines up on, they are effectively out of the game
- Bennell's run was very very good
- Bail's gut running is excellent and he competes very well
- We are quick, very quick
- I thought Newton was good today, very aggressive without being reckless and applied some very good pressure in attack

The Bad
- Goal kicking

The Ugly
- Every entry into the 50
- Dunn's f*** up when he had Bate wide open

The Good
Backline. Frawley and Grimes in particular. But Warnock gave Tippett a bath for most of the day. Bruce (when moved up the ground) and Macdonald solid. Bartram very good at what he does. Great to see Garland back. Not his greatest game but calm under pressure and got a few trade mark spoils.

Junior + Green.

Dunn was very solid. 10 marks, presented well all day, nearly threw the win with a late brain fade (push back off the mark please before going over the top!!!), but besides that was solid.

Everyone doing there job. That includes lesser likes. Bartram was very good. Newton stuffed a few chances (mainly that mark), but followed everything up with a sense of purpose.

The roar when Trengove came off after a goal. There were only 23,000 there, but it was a big noise.

The Bad
We didn't win by more. If we had a better first half and Adelaide still had injuries the game could have been finished at 3 quarter time. We certainly still aren't world beaters - not until we can find a forward line beside B. Green.

The Ugly
The game - 57 v 41, lets be honest it was pretty average
First quarer - Come on! We've got the wind, use it.
Bruce on Burton
Dangerfield going down - loved to see the boys tackle so well all day long, particularly the second half, but no one wants to see this stuff

Also, it's "grammar". Just saying.

Dahahahaha great hit. :thumbsu:

The Good
Grimes. Superstar, plays with poise and composure beyond his years. Love him.
Trengove - class.
Trengove's goal. The whole Northern Stand erupted as one... inspirational.
Warnock, Frawley and Garland - Warnock towelled up Tippett, Garland did well on Burton (after the start) and Frawley's rebound was awesome.
Bennell - great pressure, speed, etc.
Newton - a much better option than Spencer as a forward/second ruckman.
Pressure in the forward line - apart from Q2.
Richmond next week. Bring it on.

The Bad
Scully looked out of his depth at times - did some good things, but also struggled at times.
Goal kicking.
Bruce and Macdonald - overall were good, but i get nervous any time either of them gets the ball. Anything could happen.

The Ugly
One of the worst games you will ever see - or at least, the first half was.
Adelaide's bench - their injury crisis continues. Sympathy level = 0.

The Good:
J Macs tackling
Our pressure in first, third and fourth qs
Jack Trengove played well.
Grimes is a star. Future captain of the club.

The Bad and the Ugly
Don't care. We have all week to criticise. Let's enjoy this!

Changed the headings a bit seeing as there were more positives than negatives.

The Great
- Just winning a game of football at the MCG. What a great feeling that is!
- The roar when McDonald and Jones sealed the game.
- We're no longer the joke of the AFL. Sitting 11th with a very respectable start.
- The effort put in by most of the players today, particularly the tackling.
- Our defence held up very well, particularly Frawley who shut down Burton.
- Cyril Rioli. Nothing to do with our game but what a freak.

The Good
- Jamar dominating the ruck and allowing us to win the clearances.
- Keeping Adelaide to just 1.2 goal in the second half.
- Not dropping our heads when we got 4 goals behind.
- Garland getting through the game unscathed.
- Grimes' marking and rebound from the backline. What a gun!
- Trengove, Bail and Bennell were the pick of the youngsters.
- Crowd of 23,000 on a Sunday is decent for an interstate side.

The Bad
- Our goalkicking and entries into the forward 50. Shocking.
- Adelaide. What has happened to them?
- The zoning and flooding. It's ugly football that nobody likes.
- Dunn inside 50. Sooooo wasteful.

Dahahahaha great hit. :thumbsu:

The Good
Grimes. Superstar, plays with poise and composure beyond his years. Love him.
Trengove - class.
Trengove's goal. The whole Northern Stand erupted as one... inspirational.

All class :)

Some more good

-The dee-fence. We won cause of them today.
-Aaron Davey. When he has the ball I feel confident.
-The Big Russian. Took some strong marks, did a few nice things.
-Nathan Jones in the 2Q confronted by two players is front and he actually kicked straight away, instead of trying to take them on. I think he's beginning to mature.

The Good:

Jack Grimes - This kids a star, has great balance and poise.

Trengove - Will be an absolute gun, clearly shouldve been taken
number 1, actually has a lot of similarities to Grimes, but will be
even better - scary!

Bennell - Looks to of came on since last year, he is sitting in that
gap and could go either way - be a star or just play a role.
I think he will be the former.

Miller - didnt play, not good, this is great.

Newton - I didnt swear at him at all today, very suprising..

Jamar - Improving, refreshing sign for the moment, goes a long way
to making us a better side.

James McDonald - pulled his head in and set an example by actually
playing footy - instead of giving silly frees away.

We beat a quality side in Adelaide after pushing a top 4 side in
Collingwood, also we strung 2 solid, hard fought games together,
I like what our side is building.

We play Richmond next week and they are a really poor side.

The Bad:

Tom Scully - needs to show better poise and more accurate kicking,
ill always be hard on Scully, because you gotta be tougher on champions.

Nathan Jones - Needs to do more, a lot more.

Brad Miller - Even though he didnt play, he deserves a mention.

Other clubs for overlooking James Frawley.

The Ugly:

Collingwood as a side, they continue to be a real blight on the AFL
as a whole.

The Good: Melbourne appear to be on the rise

The Bad: Adelaide's injury list now includes Bock, Tippett, Dangerfield, Hentschel

The Ugly: The Melbourne player handling the back of Dangers neck as he gets drilled into the ground, gang tackled by 3 players and rushed to hospital.

The Good:

Melbourne's philosophy of bottoming out might soon start paying dividends. Trengrove and Grimes look the real deal.

The Bad:

An umpire waiting for 3 players to tackle dangerfield head first into the ground before calling for a ball up. Apart from the fact the melbourne player pins his arm so that his neck/shoulder was the only joint carrying the wait of said three players.

The Ugly:

What looks like a perhaps career ending injury to one of the rising stars of the game.

The Good:

Melbourne's philosophy of bottoming out might soon start paying dividends. Trengrove and Grimes look the real deal.

Grimes was drafted with the pick received from Brisbane for Travis Johnstone.
