Well the captain seemed to make or break a team this week
Well done to those who picked The Chad

I picked Lenny Hayes who gota nice 75 :thumbsd:

Who is your pick for round 4?

A compelling argument. ^

I like heath shaw already and i dont even know who they are playing.

Chad vs Brisbane. Who would match up on him?

Oh it would be very hard to go against the Pav.
Dally vs. Ling perhaps. = Ouch:thumbsd:
J.Brown could be worth a go, although after this week you would be brave to pick him, but Port is known for having big scores kicked against them.
Chad vs Brissy maybe???
Geelong mids vs STK? doggies mids did alright this week.....
Shaw vs. calrton, big possibility!!!

but Prob Pav at this stage!

My VC choice has always been better than my captain choice.

Rd 1 - Pav over Gablett
Rd 2 - BJ over Cross
Rd 3- Gablett over Shaw

But this week I might have another go at Brad Johnson. The bombers seem to like having goals kicked against them.

Heath Shaw againt Carlton is also a possibility.

Chad Cornes or Pavlich.

I think I will go with Chad.
Been great in 2 matches and the other was against Sydney and he was tagged.

If he was my captain this week I'd have an extra 100 points. Man captain decisions are important.

Smokie
N.Jones- odd choice, but look at his two games against NM last year...Rd9- 147 and Rd 16- 156. You also might question his form, but last year round 8 against WC Nathan racked up 45 and round 15 racked up 57 against brisbane. Im considering him

Franklin if you want the risk. Scored 37 round 13 against Adelaide, but also scored 106 against them in the first week of the finals. Could pay off

Mitchell- averages around 100 against Adelaide..won't go two weeks in a row like that, and also most likely Hawthorn minus Lewis if he gets cited by the MRP means more ball for Sammy in the middle

Hall- in good form..has had some big scores against WC in the past. Wc playing horribly atm. Glass let Pav run all over him last week.

Mattner- averaging over 100 this season. 116 and 117 last two weeks. West Coast in the last two weeks have let their opponents backmen score some big points. Bock 174, McLeod 128, Stuffy 129, Mundy 121, Hayden 115

Pavlich- speaks for himself. Averaging 130+ in past 2 years against the Tigs

Embley- averaged over 100 in past 3 years against Sydney.. one big 150+ 2 years ago

N.Stevens- averaged big against Collingwood. 186 against them in 2005

Big JB- averaging 160 against PA last 2 years..very tasty...PA defence let Goodwin rack up 130+ this week...imagine what JB could do if on song

just a few

Cox has been my captain so far but he may have an injury and plus they are playing Sydney in Sydney so may look elsewhere H.Shaw scored 149 against the tigers and surely should do the same against the blues on a sunday afternoon at the G .
Other obvious one would be the Chad against Brisbane

If cox is even close to being heathy he is a shoe in to be my capt IMO, never has a bad game against us (an yes I have pav, cross, chad, heath and a few others also).
Charman got 88 and Leuenberger had 67 this week against us for crying out loud, we literally have little to no rucks as jolly keeps getting more worn down each week carrying the load.

West Coast are playing Syd.

Interesting scores, might be spared the chopping block this week now but definitely wont be my skip.

Nobody wants to man up Shaw and Cornes is always good (bar v Syd and Carlton for some odd reason)

Hmmmm....

Not sure who I will go with yet but I can't complain about my chioces so far:thumbsu:
Rd1 - Cox
Rd2 - Cross
Rd3 - Bartel
Rd4 - ???

Depends, Thursfield may play on him and he has been great all year. Rocca kicked a few goals yesterday but otherwise was quiet.

Yeah i think thursfeild is a little under rated in his shut down ability, he has great closing speed to affect spoils! I know he always plays well on Roo.
I think i'll be sticking with the chad again this week. would just be rude to take it off him after last week.

Will be deciding between the same two.

Always thnk the midfielder/loose man down back is the safer option.

Forwards can be shut down more easily.

While forwards can be shut down easier they also have the capacity for monster scores, due to the opportunity to kick goals. Sure the loose backmen will consistently pick up cheap stats, the key forward is a bigger risk for a a potentially bigger payout.

Who is your pick for round 4?

Damn right they make or break..Wisely chose Cox for round 2 as he was rucking against nobodies. Was against Sandilands this week and Freo always do well in Derbies so completely intended to choose Chad as he always fires up in the Showdown. Couldn't get to a computer easily so thought stuff it...
Would have been inside the top 60, now outside the top 250 - lesson well learnt in my first year of supercoach.

Definately going for Chad now, a score of 131 vs Bris last year helped make that decision. The wide spaces of Subi will suit Pav, but i figure those two will get about the same but less risk with Chad.
