think this will be heavily weighted towards ablett, but swan, dal santo, mitchell and priddis have very good recent history against their opponents this weekend.

scores in brackets is their recent history against their opponent from left being the most recent, the figure at the end is the average over those 4 games.

mods, forgot to put an extra option for 'other' at the bottom, can it be included?

The captain has become an irrevent part of the game, just stick the C next to Ablett and leave it for the season and you can't go wrong, trying to guess who may or may not go slightly better is fraught with danger.

Logged onto sc and had an alert which read the following

'Gary ablett is playing Brisbane this week, historically he doesn't score well against them'

lol, just came into this thread to post the same thing.

I logged into my team today to switch the Captaincy from Sandilands to Ablett. :o

Thats the last time I take the arm band off the 'Perma Captain'...

Something I've noticed is you won't get big scorers in games v gws/gc (any blowout) really. With the scoring system 3300 pts per game I've noticed v gws it's generally 10 players scoring 150-100 rather then there being a player score a massive number

Amazing record from NDS, always surprises me that he is not in more teams.

Ablett (c) for me, you'd be a brave man to go anyone else. It's disgusting how good he is...it really is.

That Ablett 75 was the game he got subbed early yeah?

Actually thinking about going pendles this round... Not often he has two blunders in a row - plus he might come out with a vengeance after last week's performance... Could prove to be a good POD or could ruin me... I know I'm going to burn for this as last week I did a last minute swap from Pendles to GAJ as I promised my self I'd be sticking with perma cap for the whole season with no if's or but's...

EDIT: Make that 'Pendles NEVER has 2 blunders in a row'... Only one sub 100 score last year and his form against port is pretty handy...

These were my exact thoughts last week...

I've learnt my lesson

But Port Adelaide are a different kettle of fish compared to Carlton... Can appreciate a bad score last week after being pumped by 10 goals, but I just can't see that happening again...

In saying that, no doubt I'll make yet another last minute change to GAJ and then boast about it in the satisfaction thread on Sunday night ;)

Anyone who doesn't select GAJ is an idiot, and they deserve all they get.

It's incredible to me how the entire league has literally given up on trying 2 stop him. I dont know of that ever happening before in the history of the game.

Just another reason why not giving him the armband is fraught with danger.

That said, I'm still tempted by Boyd & Pendles, but probably not enough.

:thumbsu: this

Thats why VC's should get 1.5 points rounded to a whole number.

Yep learnt the hard lesson last. Although he did reasonable in the end, Marc Murphy had me worried all night.

Barring injury or any strong suggestion a player will dominate, GAJ is a lock I think.

Although, from a biased point of view, I feel J Selwood will have a blinder this week.
