This needs its own thread

Due to Covid-19 outbreaks in Vic, the QLD Government have changed its stance on AFL teams. Fixture this week will change.

More for the AFL to think about.

You'd think there's no way Gold Coast heads to Geelong this week and stays to go against Hawthorn the following week.
Plus Brisbane against Collingwood round six very doubtful.

Queensland chief health officer Dr Jeanette Young revealed strict new restrictions that include:

— Any Queensland team that plays against a Melbourne team in Queensland is required to quarantine after the match for 14 days

— Any Queensland team that plays in Melbourne is required to quarantine for 14 days on returning to Queensland

— Any Queensland team that plays in another state against a team who has been in Melbourne in the preceding 14 days is required to quarantine on their return to Queensland

The season is hard enough on the players without having to visit Tasmania. 😉

Victorian teams really need to go into hubs across Australia. The season isn't safe whilst teams are still located here.

I still think the seasons days are numbered regardless.

Play R5, then get all the Vic clubs the **** out of here and quarantine them for 2 weeks in whatever state hub they need to go to. Melbourne is only going to get worse before it gets better - such a shame that the rest of the country appears to have this under control. Play R6 after that all going well
4 to WA, 2 to SA, 2 to NSW, 2 to QLD. Borders should be open between these states fully soon so the teams can move around after the initial quarantine period and hub games.

We don't need to play games in Victoria - we need to look after the health of the players, staff and general public first and foremost

Can't they play each other while in the 14 day quarantine?
Even better. The tl;dr of it is they need to get out of Victoria ASAP if we want footy to go on
