I have only watched the first quarter and a bit of the last and Switta seemed to get involved from what I could see (kicked a great goal too). He hits the ball at speed and has some real dash.
He had 14 touched @ 78% with 68 mins on the field (second lowest)

Not sure what that hack Hardie is on about it but hes mentioned 3 times post game how so-so he was. Man hes an a grade flog.

Walters, Fyfe and Tabs was easily our best, the rest of the team hunted so well and swarmed when required. Mundy has wound the clock back, forwards are leading well, the passing was accurate.

Starting to mesh nicely. Best win in the last 3 years IMO

One thing I was worried about going into the final quarter was our centre clearances. It felt like we got flogged in the second and third quarters but Fyfe, Mundy and Walters put on a clinic.

Well done to Lobb too, stood up and in the end ran mummy so hard he was gassed in the final quarter.

Tucker had composure in some pivotal moments today. I think it was his best game!
He was Mundy like with ball in hand and pressured well.

That was the best win from Freo since beating Geelong in the first final in 2013

Tabs and Hogan were HUGE and Matera showed just how smart a footballer he is.

Fyfe, Walters and Mundy can't be spoken about highly enough especially in that last quarter.

Pearce is our most important player, he is that good.

As others have mentioned, this win meant a lot to the team. Hopefully they can build on it and back it up next week against the Bulldogs for Mundy's 300th

Well, that was a nice way to spend a sunny Canberra afternoon! Terrific win - always had the feeling their better use outside would get on top of us, but the two big forward targets ended up being the difference.

Up close you get the full effect of Ed's and Hilly's work rate, I actually thought Langdon was gassed in the third but he finished the game strongly.

Walters and Tabs equal best on for me - Tab's stats would have been Carey-esque if he'd kicked better. Alex Pearce superb, Lobb manful in a role he clearly doesn't relish, and Matera played a near perfect small forward role.

Conca worked hard, but his clangers might send us all to an early grave.

Oh, and Manuka is the best surface for footy of any ground in the AFL.

25 touches to tucker, this guy is starting to play like he knows his an AFL player, had him as my buddy last season as I thought it was going to be his break out, but happy he’s stepping up this season [emoji122][emoji122]

Really impressed with Switta’s gut running, especially in the first half, he runs in attacking angles and he’s really suited to our new forward attack of half back

Good news is we have Blakey to fit into that midfield, chop out old man Mundy, that guys been a beast these past few weeks
