The news was not so good for Max Rooke, whose comeback to the senior side has suffered another setback.
Rooke came off in the Cats' VFL game on Saturday with tightness in his hamstring. Ironically, it was not the hamstring that has plagued his pre-season.
Geelong football manager Neil Balme said it was unlikely Rooke would play this week. ``He's certainly got a hamstring problem. He'll probably miss it,'' he said.
Rooke has not had the best of luck since making his season debut last week.
He was concussed in the first half of the VFL game last week before coming back on and performing well in the second half.
Gary Ablett, who suffered a corked calf on Sunday, was expected to be fit for the Kangaroos clash on Sunday.
Exciting wingman Jason Davenport should also play in the VFL this week after copping a knock on the knee late on Saturday.
