Sunday shapes up as a clash between first and second on the ladder (going into the round) with Footscray having won all four games it has played so far, ahead of the Hawks on percentage (the Hawks also lost a game to the Suns earlier in the season). Both teams go into the game with a good run of results under their belts.

The Hawks disposed of the Swans last weekend, beating Sydney by 27 points at Box Hill City Oval, with Calsher Dear cementing his promise with two goals. The Hawks actually trailed the Swans for a good portion of the game, but made their move late in the third quarter, kicking a string of goals to turn a deficit into an 11 point lead at three quarter time and then putting the game to bed in the fourth quarter. VFL-listed Callum Brown had 29 disposals for the Hawks (with 21 kicks) and Josh Ward had 21 disposals (15 kicks), while Ethan Phillips took 10 marks down back for Box Hill.

The Bulldogs travelled down to Williamstown for an away game at the Seagulls and weren't really troubled. The Seagulls kept it close in the first quarter and probably should have led at quarter time, but kicked five behinds to 1.1.7 to Footscray. However, the Bulldogs put their foot on the floor in the second quarter, and led by 36 points at half-time (7.5.47 to 1.5.11). The Seagulls kept battling in the third quarter and managed to keep the Bulldogs goalless in the third quarter, but could only narrow the margin to 21 points at three-quarter time. The Dogs put the game to bed early in the fourth quarter and ran out comfortable winners by 43 points. Former Collingwood-listed player but now VFL-listed player Trent Bianco kicked three goals for Footscray in their win over Williamstown, and had 26 disposals, so he will be one of their prime movers in this top-of-the-table clash.

For those not able to get across to the Whitten Oval to watch the game live, afl.com.au will have a live stream of the game, and 3WBC 94.1FM will provide a radio broadcast of the game.

Teams to come.

I am fricken sick i cant believe it

QT FS 1.3. 9 to BH 0. 2 2

Two very contrasting styles. Bulldogs look to chip it around across their halfback line (Busslinger, Keath, Frejah their leading ball winners) then when there's a defensive lapse they look to cut into the middle. Meanwhile, we look to go fast at every opportunity but are struggling with our skills and forward presentation. Both sides doing the tough stuff.

Ryan and Serong stood up well defensively.
Reeves gives us a noticeable advantage in the ruck.
Our tall forwards (Ramsden, Tucker, BH Tovey) giving us very little.
Good moments from Chad and Sully but they haven't touched it much.
Hustwaite vs Sanders a good battle.

Callum Porter absolutely crucifies us with that turnover, leaves us wide open.
