Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

If anyone is dropped they will be extremely stiff. Nobody really deserves to go out at the moment.

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

I dont think there will be any changes, one thing that is concerning is that Lonergan and Gamble need some footy, in that case it wouldn't suprise me if Djerkurra is the game day emergency, unless someone if real unlikely to play, this will give Lonergan and gamble game time in the vfl

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

This is a game where we can probably afford to experiment a little bit.

Want to see how our forwardline operates with Hawkins and Gamble in it. Or even if Mumford is given short stints up forward and see how he goes as he is unlikely to play ruck at the business end of season

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

I'm expecting someone to pull out with 'general soreness'.

With some luck their might be 3 with general soreness, these three need to be in the mix.
Like to see Laidler one day, but wojinski's form is great, and evergreen Milburn, 31 possessions, what can you do?

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

No West. Now this is not surprising given that Mumford has certainly been doing enough. But does this mean that Bomber has been 'over-ruled' again, or has he come over to Mummy's side?

There's a bit of height in that team. DJ was the man in the wet last week against the lions, the only conceivable change would be lonners back in to play defence, he wasn't bad against the crows. I'm with the no change crowd though.

I think Bomber was won over by Mumford's defensive efforts last week. 10 tackles in 44% game time was huge. :thumbsu:

Russell Robertson is the same height as Jimmy Bartel.

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

only way i can see a change happening is if someone has pulled up pretty stiff and sore.

be a pretty cushy game for djerrkura to debut and find some confidence at the elite level if changes were to be made...good to see he's in the mix.

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

What has happened to Hogan- played 1 game, missed next with 'general soreness' and not seen since??
I'm tipping a late general soreness change this week, its only the Dees after all!

He played in the VFL 2 weeks ago but the VFL team had a bye last week. Not sure why he's not named in the magoos.

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

Where is Harley at then?

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

Who knows really. He was supposed to be half a chance this week so perhaps he will be right next week??? Then they have to decide whether he starts in the AFL or VFL, bomber said he wouldn't play the captain in the VFL but he has done so with Harley before so grain of salt stuff really!

Re:Djerkurra, could and would kick goals if pushed forward, time will tell.

Re: Round 6 squad - Lonergan, Gamble and Djerrkura added

I would like to see Gamble, Djerrkura in that team.
But there is no one I would drop for them.

We may need DJ later in the year. He has the experience to help, so I would leave him for now. He needs time in the seniors too, he hasn't played at that level in ages.

And Hawkins and Mooney need more time together.

Lets not flirt with form.

I cant see any changes unless someone has pulled up "sore". No-one deserves to be dropped, our fringe players have been good recently. But i would love to see Gamble or Djerrkura get a game. I rate Gamble in our best 22,but he has missed an oppurtunity to cement his place in the team with a lacklustre start to the season.
