McQualter has made some really poor selection decisions already this year.

1. Dropping Flynn after 1 game
2. Refusing to drop Billiams until Flynn dominated WAFL, even though Billiams has been useless every afl game he's ever played
3. Dropping Hall after he was the best clearance mid vs Brisbane
4. Dropping Gross after he was really good in his first 2 games then got moved to sub in his 3rd game
5. Keeping Duggan in the team every week

Only good selection he has done is dropping Kelly

Yep, he’s only made six selection decisions all season and two of them were to not drop someone.

Even then he brought Kelly back in the next week despite Kelly demonstrating very little at WAFL level. Heck, there's at least 5 players in the first half of today's WAFL game that deserve senior selection before Kelly deserved a call up.

Gotta manage the draftee inside mids. Yeah it would be great to see him in the 1's every week but at the same time, lets be realistic. Midfield mix looked a lot better last week, no surprise to me that there are no sweeping changes there

I would assume (hope) that Reid will be moving back into the mids this week and as a result, Gross may not have got as many minutes so he is getting a full run at WAFL. But with Kelly out you’d think he would have got more time, so it is a somewhat odd call.

He will be back in soon enough.
