Positives:
- Our Foward line was fairly good, Ill admit i was agianst picking up Miller but he was good agian today, Finally kicking stright to. Jack was Jack, Could have been better but could have been worse at the same time. Im Liking Vickery too this year a nice set shot and is staring to kick goals.
- Delidio finnaly breaking a tag.
- Nahas, Conca, Deledio, Cotchin, Jackson all did ok too thought Helbig was alright to.
- Getting the margin back to 12 points.

Negatives:
- Our defence, Before this game the dogs had averaged 87 points a game they just about doubled that today. How do Gilbee and Minson kick 10 between them?
- First quarters? Seriously what the heck is going on i have never seen a team start so bad. Are we not warming up well enough before the game?
- When were were only 12 points down insted of taking the lead we let the dogs run over the top of us, agian.
- Tackles, Dogs had alot more of the ball yet we only had 50 tackles.
- Really cant be botherd saying the rest of negatives, The lists to long.

Changes: Tuck and White in if fit hard to bring in players from Coburg if there all playing crap.

my biggest negative was the game was on channel 7. there is only one thing worse then a loss and thats watching it delayed by 1 hour on channel 7 with some of the worst camera angles you will ever see.

on the game negatives clearly are we concede to many goals and too many are easy goals, and our first quarters. after quarter time it was 17.6 richmond to 16.13 bulldogs.

positives were we can score. our forward line looks dangerous and if you can call it a positive we just didnt get a lucky break the whole game.

in tuck, white
out edwards, nason

Out:
Nason - Played a full game. Was absolutely useless
McGuane/Rance - Can't play both these guys together.
Graham - Played a nothing game and got smashed by Hudson

In:
Tuck - Need to win clearances
Astbury - The future
Browne

Wasn't good - but good signs

Whilst the doomsdayers will be condemning today, I honestly believe that we displayed fantastic footy at selected parts of the game.

I would prefer to see that from such a young group and get beat, rather that a middle age group of players getting consistently beaten by 2-3 goals each week.

Stick with the game plan - it is finally the right way to go.

Oh - it would be good if the team got off the team bus and on to arena before quarter time next week though

Re: Wasn't good - but good signs

We aren't giving up, which is great.

We needed to slow it down in that 3rd quarter when we got within 2 goals, then we could have gone at them in the last and maybe snatched it.

Re: Wasn't good - but good signs

As a developing team, we are going to be taking 2 or 3 steps forward and one step back quite a bit. Hopefully over time, the forward steps get a bit bigger.

Out: Nason (too soft at this stage)

In: White or Webberley

Also as others have stated, go with your best mid-fielders Dimma FFS! Jackson, Conca, Edwards at the first centre bounce, are you kidding me!

Also I think Rance's good form before today has hidden the glaring deficiencies in Luke's game so please consider Astbury or the Goo (among the best with Coburg today).

Good -

Miller + Vikery - Doing what they are payed to do

Conca - Very good game, never gave up.

King pushing that waterboy - Love ya Jakey :D

Negatives -

McGuane - Spud

Channel 7 - That ****ing smoothie cube ad pisses me off to no end.

Changed

Out:

Graham
McGuane
Nason

In:
Browne
Astbury
Webberley/Tuck

We got to see what happens if the whole 'bomb it from the goal square into the centre square with numbers' works out. Looked really good having about 5 blokes streaming off the sides into an empty forward 50.

Changes:
Out - Edwards (only if the fracture rumors are true), Nason
In - White, Tuck

Having Nason as the sub today probably payed off because of how early we had to use him, but i dont understand the concept of having a sub whos best asset is endurance.

Positives - The doggies had to produce their "A" game to put us away and we never threw in the towel.

Negatives - We are getting smashed in 1st quarter centre clearances almost every week. Time for a rejig.

Changes - IN: Tuck, White. OUT: Edwards (inj.), Nason. Maybe Webbs for Helbig (whom I like but who needs to get more of the ball).

Firstly Dimma warned us at the start of the year it will be a bit of a rollercoaster ride, last week fantastic this week things were against us.

Silly mistakes made under pressure, but at times very exciting footy.Western dogs are expected to play finals we are not, they had the bigger bodies and more experience.

I thought at times today the boys look a bit slower,we missed dulux I thought but we lost it in the first quarter cant let teams get way ahead like we did.

Jakey King fantastic effort again but our clearances let us down.I liked Helbig nice goal he kicked and the ripper from Dusty.Jack still got his 4 and we kicked 18 for the day.

Love the way the tiges are not being pushed around specially the boy from Coburg!!

Glad we got Brad Miller 3 goals today and some nice work in the forward 50 downside for me gus is so slowwwww.

Come on tigers big effort next week in the first quarter, do we have any one in the rooms motivating the team dogs came out ready to rip heads off.

Positives
-Brad Helbig, what a beautiful kick of the footy. Looks to have bulked up a little since his last outing too.
-Ty Vickery, really starting to hold those marks. Nice kick for goal too. Will kick 5 soon.
- Foley's goals, been waiting all year to see some of those.
- Martin, worked his way back into the game nicely and kicked a couple of rippers.
-Miller, continues to validate his spot on the list.

Negatives
- Not enough 1 touch players! A pet peeve of mine. Doggies are rolling in them.
- Nason has lost his spark from last year...
- Clearing from defense, we continue to struggle.
- Newman, I love the captain but he had an absolute shocker today

Changes
Out - Edwards, Nason, McGuane
In - Tuck, Webberley, Moore/Gourdis if Moore ain't fit.

Morton, Connors, Astbury should be looking to come in ASAP too.

White unlucky.

Positives:
- Getting back into the game after copping a flogging in the first quarter.
- Once again Jack has a quiet game but still walks away with 4 goals.

Negatives:
- Obviously the terrible first quarter. We cant continue to play from behind. And we have no idea how to play when we are in front.
- Defense, i dont know who was on who, or even if anyone was meant to be on anyone. Hows does Gilbee kick 5 goals so easily? And how is Grant able to take about 5 uncontested marks inside their forward 50?!

Changes:
In - Tuck, White, a defender (Astbury, Goo, Post)
Out - Edwards, Nason, a defender

Positives:
- Vickery and Miller kicking goals. Vicks could of had three but handed one off to Kingy.
- Nahas continuing his run and carry, also doesn't seem to be getting knocked over as easily.
- Conca another solid game although made some poor decisions.
- Helbig and Batchelor's kicking skills are superb!

Negatives:
- First quarters! If we don't get really fired up and come out switched on against the Bombers we will most likely lose.
- Umpires is it just me or do we get absolutley r*ped by the umpires every single week! We only get the frees if it is very obvious the amount of 50/50's that go against us is ridiculous.
- Not sticking our tackles.
- Too many easy goals when we worked our backsides off to get back within two goals.
- Callan Ward had to play probably his best game of his career against us, **** you Jordan McMahon!

Changes:
Out:
Edawrds (inj.) - fractured cheekbone I think.
Nason - didn't offer too much give him a spell in the Burgers.
McGuane - sick of hospital handballs and poor decisions by him and Rance would perfer Rance though.

In:
White - missed his speed up forward today.
Tuck - add a bit more hardness to our midfield.
Astbury - uses the ball much better then McGaune and Rance, key for the future.

Positives:
Miller Vickery Helbig Batchelor and Conca
All coming on just nicely. Conca will be one of the comps best mids in 23 or 4 years.

Negatives:
The Gus haters.
People are getting a bit carried away with Gus and this pathetic ruck bit. I would bet anything it was a pre-planed tactic. It appeared to me, when the umpire bounced the ball, as soon as it reached the maximum height and started on its downward trajectory, Gus THEN looked straight at Hudson for a split sec then started his charge.

Unless people know for a 100% certainly it wasn’t pre-planed he should be given the benefit of the doubt.

We will know 5pm next Thursday if he was bad, or just following instruction.

Changes:
Out:
Edwards

In:
White

Loss we needed to have, cut out all the hype and start again.

Positive:
Loved Helbig's game, just kept trying
Conca - but boy, he really works his way IN to traffic and congestion, he can get out of it most times, but go to the open space boy!

Negatives:
We saw 2010 Richmond in that first quarter, those things that Nahas used to do like getting caught in traffic, sloppy kicks (that Batchelor one that lead directly to a goal) and over handballing etc came back into our game

Positives

- the spread of goalkickers is fantastic. We should have 7 blokes kick 20 goals for the year, brilliant.

- our inner strength to back ourselves to get into the game from any position, our youth just want to turn it on

- Impressed by Nahas and Vickery, two blokes l've baked recently.

Negatives

- Dimma had a poor game. Starting Martin up forward and waiting till the horse had bolted before putting him in the guts was wrong. Everything the kid touches results in something, the game was over before he had a chance today.

- Rance, Graham, Newman and Houli had days they'd rather forget

- The most frustrating part of our game and after years watching this bullshit, we are ****ing ordinary at clearing the ball from defence after a behind. Its embarrassing and we look so amatuerish. We have absolutely no idea what to do. None.

Changes

Out: Edwards (inj)
In: Tuck

I havent seen the game, was out today, the neg sticks outl like the proverbial when a side doubles its average score against us. with a HBF kicking 6 and big spud in minson slotting 4 ...that's a worry...

If dimma has serious designs on this season then tuck back in is a pre req...in the big games, BIG bodies are a MUST...

It’s the strength of any young up and coming team… you take two steps forward and one step back” - Tim Watson. Today on the game commentary.

Dimma said last week, we are not quiet there yet and expects us to start to win these type of games towards the latter half of the season, so I hope they don’t panic at selection and remember the last 3 weeks they were all terrific, and right across the board very flat today.

No change if possible.

And the same unit can come out and breath fire against the Bombers. If we had to drop a game after 3 on the trot, Dogs or Bombers, I know which one I would want.

Also, overlooked my many, we did score 18 goals in this defeat. Thats 4 games in a row over 100pts.

Positive:
- Vickery continues to improve
- Nahas has now played a month of good footy maybe now he'll believe
- Martin Jack Cotchin were all pretty well held but still had an impact of sorts, shame it was too late
- Deledio was able to step up and break a tag
- We never gave in despite being ~60 points down in the second quarter.
- We lost, now perhaps the media will stop hyping us up before there is something to actually hype.

Negatives:
- The Dogs were always going to come out firing, we just weren't ready for it
- Slow start for the 8th straight week

Changes:
Out: Edwards Nason
In: Tuck Webberley

Posted this elsewhere, but I thought Helbig was one of the positives today. Conca too - made some mistakes but kept having a dip.

Don't think there will be too many changes next week - Edwards obviously and Nason possibly as he hasn't been having too much impact. White will come back for Edwards. Surely Morton has served his time and could come in for Nason if Tuck isnt ready? Ideally though I'd like to see someone come in to play off a back flank so Lids can be a starter in the middle or wing, but the obvious candidates in Connors, Dea and O'Reilly are all injured.

Negatives - midfield pressure, especially first quarter. Also, JR could have kicked 8 today but 4 or 5 times the ball was kicked just over his head when he had front possie. We just need to nail those kicks inside 50 a bit better.
