Why on earth would they put Richmond at a ground with stands. I mean, it's not like we ever draw a crowd is it?The ground were playing at has no stands

No surprise there then.Scats, pies, blues and bombers get to play at Adelaide oval.
he’s 19 he doesn’t need a rest. sat was his best game. play him. i have simms just ahead of faul. alger is going to be a beaut. fawcett is a great kid. options.I said if he needs a rest not advocating one, and yes he played well. Faulk I think is going to be very good.
couldn’t agree more. shorts impact is long kicks to contests. no future in that.Short’s meter gain and disposal numbers is non-impactful.
Unfortunately he simply don’t have the killer instinct or X factor to help us win.
We have options(vfl) to upgrade!
Sims is impressive. Was impressed with his ruckwork on the weekend, which was good to see because the week before not so much. I think that is where his best spot will be going forward. Great 3 pronged attack we will have as early as next year with Armstrong, Sims and Faull, who I think is going to be the best of them.he’s 19 he doesn’t need a rest. sat was his best game. play him. i have simms just ahead of faul. alger is going to be a beaut. fawcett is a great kid. options.
Yeah for me my question becomes, providing Armstrong, Sims and Faull all make the grade, what becomes of Bauer and Fawcett? I guess they can be traded for some currency but it would be a shame. Good problem to have I guess.Sims is impressive. Was impressed with his ruckwork on the weekend, which was good to see because the week before not so much. Fawcett is going to struggle to get past them, but you never know, we really haven't seen much of him either.
I would have Alger in this week over Sonsie as a forward. He is class and a natural forward, Sonsie obviously isn't, and he could easily have kicked 4 or 5 last weekend, missed some easy ones. Let's give him 2 games before Mansell gets back and see what he does.
Maybe so for Fawcett, if he can get on the park and show he is up to AFL and that somebody would want to trade for him. If he tears up the VFL he has a good chance. Unlucky for him we went so tall.Yeah for me my question becomes, providing Armstrong, Sims and Faull all make the grade, what becomes of Bauer and Fawcett? I thought Smith was pretty good. He kept Cameron quiet. 2 of his 3 goals were when Broad was on him.Smith out we move Green back.
Really good point. Standing on the mark makes a world of difference defensively, so we should try to do that. The better defensive teams always try to stand on the markThere are a lot of things i saw at the ground and a lot of it all came down to being a young side.
The one thing i am starting to HATE is how we always want to go the 5m and not on the mark. Sometimes that means we just walked the opposition an extra 20m because we didnt man the mark and just jogged backwards instead of attacking the man.
Balta signed a 7 year deal. His form won't be in question despite no recent matches. No issue either way for me, just hope they keep playing the kids.My view has zero to do with his incident and all to do with Yze saying spots won’t be handed out, they are earnt.
Earnt by form and playing well.
Another of the AFL dhead scenarios - Gather around - let’s hope we don’t end up with th an ACL injury playng on inferior groundsWhy on earth would they put Richmond at a ground with stands. I mean, it's not like we ever draw a crowd is it?
Old mate Hicksy the draft expert reckons the draft is getting deep because a 2026 prospect looks good![]()
Just drag the man on the mark back 5 metres and get rid of the stand and play-on calls This means that the player receiving the mark or free actually kicking the ball from where the kick was awarded not 5 metres back. This would mean a mark on the 50 metre line would likely result in a goal. It would speed up the play because the player on the mark cannot block access to the ball and stops the umpires trying to make the stand and play-on call heard over the crowd noise. Just make it simple.man i hate that stand rule....should be adjusted to 1 metre (2 small steps) left, right or back.....this dosent allow cribbing forward and gives player and umps some wiggle room. recipients of a mark or free kick would understand and adjust instantly. and would stop players trying to stooge the man on the mark and the gullible umps.
Better still, scrap the rule as it was brought in because Hocking did not like how Richmond manned the mark.Just drag the man on the mark back 5 metres and get rid of the stand and play-on calls This means that the player receiving the mark or free actually kicking the ball from where the kick was awarded not 5 metres back.
