Ellis will go. Thinking Spurr although that would bugger my round 12 defensive setup, was at the start of the year thinking I'd trade Clarke that week, but I don't think I will now the way he's scoring. Therefore Brennan maybe.

Will do Shiel > Ablett but given BE's of both might let Shiel moo for one more week before doing it. If Christensen doesn't come up I might choose to do a forward upgrade instead so I can bench him until he's back.

Every week I see Judd magic post how after round x trades he will sit on his hands for a few weeks, low and behold the next week he's all over the round x trades thread with 2 more

LOL! Yeah that's me all right. :p

The bargains are there though and I must snap them up. I might try get Marc Murphy though instead. Will crunch the numbers when sc opens later on tonight. :D:thumbsu:

Dumb trade :thumbsd:

McDonald has way more cash to make still and a tiny breakeven this week coming up. :o

I disagree. I understand where you are coming from, the fact that Old Mac still has money to make and Ablett may even drop in price very shortly allowing me to pick up Ablett cheaper and save some coin but Old Mac is my last upgrade player in the mids. Have Pendles,Swan,Selwood,Murphy and Rockliff with Old Mac,Horsley and Adams on the bench. Obviously not going to get rid of Horsley or Adams so it has to be JMac(Unless i choose to wait a couple weeks?) Could end up going Ellis-Spurr and Bugg-Shaw but will then need to find money for Ablett next week??

No I'm not joking and I don't care about any round other than round 12. From the end of round 3 I have made trades with the single desire to try and win round 12 that is why I now have no round 12 premiums in my team and will only be upgrading to round 11 & 13 guns in the coming weeks :thumbsu:
So you are looking to beat your arch enemy then, you may win that battle but who will win the war? Your plan may leave you exposed to getting laughed the loudest at.

depending on H Mac's injury i'll be swapping him out for someone

also going to bring in murphy for shiel to my mids. hoping he has a bit of a stinker tonight ;)

Still got Goodes on the pine, so if he's going to miss another 4-5 I will probably trade him out for Pav (Already got Sidey, Lewis, Buddy, Danger, Martin).

Got Ellis on the pine to, will either keep him or upgrade to a premo as I have a bit of cash in the bank, or upgrade Magner/Shiel to a Mid Premo.

OR

Downgrade Ellis to Spurr
&
Upgrade Shiel/Magner to Ablett.

I can cover Goodes for a few weeks with Treloar/Kennedy

Currently sitting ~650

Side look as follows

DEF:
Deledio, Goddard, Clarke, Lake, Bugg, Dempsey, Drummond, Ellis, Darley

MID:
Pendles, Murphy, Swan, Ablett, Sloane, McDonald, Horsely, C Smith

RUCK:
Giles, Maric, Stephenson, Redden

FWD:
Franklin, Dangerfield, Sidebottom, Pavlich, Stevie J, D. Smith, Porplyzia, Cameron, Saad

Now I have 15 trades left with just over $300k in the kitty.

Was thinking 2 trades this week:

Sloane -> Mitchell (reasoning: Adelaide having a tough couple of rounds and Mitchell pretty much bottoming out, will make at least $50k off this trade)

Ellis -> premium defender (shaw/birchall/scotland) (reasoning: no brainer after an output of 2)

I have backed up consecutive scores of over 2400 (given Murphy and goddard score a combined 180)

I see my defence as my greatest weakness

Look forward to your comments

Ellis to Spurr, Also considering michael Johnson cos of his dpp (would give me 3 in tomlinson smedts and Johnson) is the ability to switch up possies and cover zeros worth maybe giving up 5 or 6 points a round when compared to shaw or heppell?

After starting very well my ranking is in free fall, any advice is much appreciated!

Ellis > Spurr will be the most popular trade this week so your safe there. Not sold on Michael Johnson though as he is horribly inconsistent, it's a risk... but then again if it works out you will look like a genius.

Gonna do the typical Ellis > Spurr this week, then I will upgrade 1 of Magner or Shiel to NDS or Pendles (NEED HELP WITH THIS DECISION!!)

Cheers

What does everyone think is the best trade senario listed bellow this week for my team?

A) Ellis > Spurr to free up cash like everyone else is doing and then Bugg > Scotland

or

B) Bugg > Spurr and Shiel > Murphy

Team looks like this at the moment -

B - Goddard, Deledio, Broughton, Malceski, Hargrave, Dempsey, Bugg

M - Ablett, Pendlebury, J.Selwood, Barlow, McDonald, Horsley

R - McIntosh, Giles

F - Franklin, Chapman, Dangerfield, Sidebottom, Zaharakis, Martin, Porplyzia

Bench -

Ellis
Morris

Shiel
C.Smith

Redden
Stephenson

Kennedy
Hall

Should I fix up the backs or mids?

Yeah I think I might take the punt on Johnson, apart from one 68 he's been consistently 90+.

As for the upgrade, I started with nds, and recently he's been giving me nightmares, but he'll be at his lowest ebb this week after that shocking 46 so he is value. As for Scott dependlebury....its all in the name

How sparse are the rookie pickings this year? Spurr 50 and 70 and he will be the most popular trade....sigh
