Resting Grundy when we are playing against Xerri. No thanks.Grundy needs a rest will be cranky if he plays next week
Thank god someone else watched the same game I did. I'm not even sure what decisions people are getting angry about, umps were fine.I must have watched a different game to some. I guess.
Personally I thought the defence was pretty damn good. Including Bice.
The Dees are a bloody good CB team that can really exploit the 666.
Umpires didn't bother me at all.
The swans interchanges were wack. Really messed with some key positional moves.
Mills should always play back. He's just a general.
Rosas is an elite field kick.
Rampe was impressive again. His fist has more Curry than Kolkata.
Logan's best game this season. His tank is legit.
Charlie looked well held. Mind you. This benefits the rest of the forward group.
Grundy looked stuffed in Q4. I reckon that resulted in the dees getting a roll on.
Round 8That’s still a year and a half on Collingwood. That’s a huge gap. So many of our best players are 27 or under. We’re not in a position where we need to worry about 2-3 big retirements gutting our list. I’d be interested to see the age profile of the current top 6 teams.
While it’s nice being one of the youngest teams like the 2022 grand final team, we are now in the prime bracket to challenge for multiple flags and have a lot more experience. Maybe we can get a couple back to make up for the nasty grand final losses.

Can we start with the insufficient intent one against Lloyd?Thank god someone else watched the same game I did. I'm not even sure what decisions people are getting angry about, umps were fine.

Balanced by Heeney being in the first rowCan we start with the insufficient intent one against Lloyd?
What kind of a baloney call was that?
I think that was more due to Gawn being fresh as he had a legit ruck partner in Heath.Rusty! we have to rest the big guy he was labouring in the 4th.
If we cant beat North without him then its on us
Xerri is playing at an elite level atm.Rusty! we have to rest the big guy he was labouring in the 4th.

Interesting calls re Bice, if we remove him from our backline then it puts more pressure on Blakey to be our creative outlet with speed and kicking.
I want Cunningham in our side, probably for cootee. Potentionally if Bice is struggling defensively then we can swap Cunningham and Bice midgame.

Ruck Contests:
Grundy 98
Gawn 65
Heath 43
McDonald 5
Amartey 5
Do we play someone like a Ladhams as just legit a bench ruck over Cootee next week just to help Grundy out as thats a mega game to get through
I'd guess a bit more will power and emotion with his 250th too. Defs either needs a rest or some more ruck support.Have to do something there is no way he can get through the season with this workload every week and contribute at this level.
Gawn and Heath just worked him over and over

I also think its a little too much to fully rest him, but reckon we could do something like what Melbourne is doing with Heath or Hawks are doing with Reeves and Meek and give Grundy a chop out for a week where he has 55% ruck time rather than 85%+I feel like we're looking for concerns with Grundy that aren't really there.
Cox said it quite plainly himself: They will go with what Grundy tells them each week.
So the prospect of resting him isn't really relevant until it becomes relevant.
Agreed, and he's not going to have to go up against a Max Gawn that's spent slightly more than half of the game up forward (Heath had 21 CBAs compared to Gawn's 19 – plenty of which came in the last quarter) most weeks.I feel like we're looking for concerns with Grundy that aren't really there.
