Well, a week where the WAFL has it all to itself in Perth and it's going to rain a good amount, evidently. Ah well, it is a winter sport and time for the mudlarks to come out. Is this the chance to see Subi beaten? Some very interesting matches in this round.

Swans v Sharks - Nervous about this one, and it's not just because Naita and Yarran are missing for us, along with Notte. The wet should help East Freo as they have plenty of runners. Young Pullman gets a go at FF, rapt to see that, he was actually very good on the cold, freezing, slippery night at Joondy a few weeks ago. Can't see there being any more than a few goals in this one, just hoping it goes our way.

Claremont v Perth - who would have thought this could be match of the round at the beginning of the season, but that's the way it's shaping up. Look at the ins for Perth - S Butler (yes, I believe it's the same one), Armstrong, Mark Johnson and Chris Mayne. Some real quality there to say the least. Whilst the Tiges have AJ and Chad Jones coming back for them, whilst losing deBoer. Should be a good'un as well.

Peel v WP - also should be a good game, even though Peel got smashed by Subi last week. With no Ebert or Schofield, it would have to be slightly in the Falcons favour, but which Falcons outfit will turn up?

Subi v EP. The Royals were fantastic last week in applying pressure and forcing the Swans to make errors. Can they continue that against there more seasoned and experienced combatnats this week? Chick and Read miss, and along with the rain make this the most realistic chance of anyone knocking off Subi, IMO. Now just watch them win by 100+!

Anyhow, despite the inclement weather, should be a good weekend of WAFL footy and good luck to your teams (except Sharks supporters!)

Peel are a chance this week

Are AFL listed players playing for their respective sides this week? If so Peel wil get Rosa, Schofield, O'Brien and Ebert back.

Peel's lost Zac Beeck this week through suspension so Al McDonald will be our main ruck and will probably stuggle against Seaby.

Sheesh how's the percentage on the 5th placed team!!!

Losing a couple of games by 157 points (your lot) and 78 points (my lot); while winning 2 of their 3 by 1 point (EF) and 3 points (Claremont) will do that. ;)

Fairly annoyed that Souths have the bye this weekend - on a weekend where there'd be no reason not to go (even the rain wouldn't stop me), they're not even playing... :(

Well, let me be the first to congratulate, begrudgingly of course, the Sharks on their win. By about 2 goals. The game panned out as I expected, but not the result I wanted. Good, hard, tough match with plenty of stoppages.

It was at these stoppages that I thought the Sharks were better. Dwyer was good, as was Houlihan, Dunn, Peake early, Chidlow (no 10? I think) was noticable early and late, Staker and Spangher influenced the game and someone took an absolute hanger in the Swans goalsquare in the second quarter. Umpire was KO'd by a Sharks player (accidentally) so the game had everything. Crowd of about 2,500 to boot I reckon.

Swans best, as is becoming typical IMO, were the inexperienced ones again. Garlett was super, Pullman was good early, Davis and Ames tried to drag Swans back into it, Roberts was good and Douglas was our best ruckman. McKinlay tried hard, as did Wulff and Lange, but not to be.

Looks like I was right on the Subi v EP game, except it was 10 goals not 100 points. The kiss of death worked again!
