NT Thunder have named four changes to the side that narrowly defeated Dragon Island last week, including the return of Connor Blakely, who dominated at reserve level in response to his omission.

Last week's win, the first under new administration, pleased new coach kdavva74 but he is under no illusion as to the difficulty of this week's clash with back-to-back reigning premiers Geelong.

"We know it's going to be a tough slog. Geelong are proven quality, and we know we'll have to bring our best to match it with them."

Geelong have had a slow start to their premiership defence, currently sitting in 6th with a 5-3 record after losing last week's grand final replay to Gold Coast. Despite the Thunder outscoring Geelong last week, kdavva74 has made 4 changes to the lineup.

The most notable inclusion is Connor Blakely, who scored 131 at reserve level last week, whilst forwards Jake Neade and Rowan Marshall return to join Petracca, Cox, Matera and fellow inclusion Jack Steele. Todd Goldstein has been controversially dropped, with kdavva going with Ryder as the sole ruckman, with Lewis Young, Brandon Ellis and Lewis Taylor all making way as well.
