Not bad, though would have preferred to see Duff to stay in because I think persistanting with him will pay off and dropped after one bad game.

Perhaps, but look at the midfield... looks incredibly slow.

However the Saints are equally as slow so we will win :)

Yeah exact... drop two quickies and a suspended slow-poke, and bring in two slow-pokes and a quickie (who also happens to be playing his first game so will probably spend a lot of time on the pine...).

Nett gain is an extra slow-poke...

Not a bad looking team, but hasn't really addressed the speed (or lack of it) issue...

Big game tomorrow night, On the Big Stage Fri night Footy....

Lets hope young Collard can turn it on :thumbsu:

Home Crowd firing up, I know I will be having a few quick ones after work (and some beers as well :D )...

Dockers by 35 points ...

I would have preferred to see Duffield stay in the side.

Good to see Collard get a run though :thumbsu:

Agreed, cam.

Is it too hard for coaching staff to say "hey kid, looks like you could turn into an AFL footballer, we will give you an extended run in the seniors to see if you have what it takes".

I think this philosophy will get more out of youngsters then dropping after one bad game... Duffield looked really good against Hawthorn.... moved so well.

Indigenous round??

They've brought in 2 indigenous players this week. Only Farmer and Mourish not playing from the "Brothers".

Maybe, maybe not... but if that is the case, then someone had to make way.

Who's the emergency?

have you noticed the "DOCKERS ARE SLOW" is is chaired by duffield in the west.

has he got a vested interest, i think so. We are not that slow.

The Saints are probably the only team in the AFL with a slower midfield than us so speed shouldn't be an issue this round.

So because they have a slow midfield we can select the slowest guys on our list because it doesnt matter. Wouldn't we be better off picking some quicker guys to exploit them in this department if it's a weakness?

Also Duffield shouldn't have been dropped after one bad game, was still averaging more disposals (even after last weeks shocker) than a third of our list. I just cant see how dropping him to bring in Cook (who is one of my favs by the way) is beneficial to our list now, or in the future.

yes :thumbsu: collard in

hes going to be speeeeciiaaaal. no pressure of course

Would be good if Colalrd pulled something out to get a speeeeecail from Bruce. Cant wait tos ee the kid play.

What are you smoking inferno.

Walker has had about 9 years to fit into the team.

The game against Geelong will probably be his last game in the side.

Duff isn't having a great year so far but I think he's a good long term prospect. I fist saw him last year in the pre-season scratcy against Port down at Freo oval and he was just about BOG alongside Peake & Crowley. What struck me most then was his poise, the quality of his decision making and disposal all of which seems to have abandoned him at the moment. Perhaps he's down on confidence or just having trouble picking up the pace as he seems to be getting caught with the ball a lot and not making great choices when he does have it. Still the kid can sure play and I look forward to him being a certain starter in years to come.

Amongst all this we shouldn't forget Warnie (flipper) gets his chance to run out in front of the purple army.
I'm looking forward to seeing the second of the twin towers playing tomorrow.

Ps. Peake. emergency ? Must be Freo telling the Saints they will see your collarbone and raise you a collarbone. Lenny...your kidding !

Happy with the changes. The forecast has changed from showers heavy later to cloudy with a shower or two, if the rain doesn't eventuate we may see Duffman come in for Cook. I'm confident Cookie will play well if he gets a run.

Saints backmen may try to rough up Collard early, he'll be glad to have Solomon down in the forward line with him.

Credit to Connolly for selecting Collard, Warnock and Campbell when his neck is on the line.

I thought the same thing!! :D

On the Warners note - I am sure it will be a huge buzz for him to run out in front of an adoring crowd of Purpleites, rather than an opposition crowd... :thumbsu:
