Well I did miss the boat not trading in Uber-Premo Tex so I really don't want to miss the boat on the next certainty to finish as the #1 forward. :$

Haha yeah I gotta move Tex on too.

Not sure I have the stones to bring in Hall for him (though of course I did it in DT so I'm 100 points and about 100k better off 🙃)

Ditching McCreery already, should be handy over the byes?

I'm not AB but probably because that 33 has really blunted his cash gen and given this week gives us 3 potential rooks to jump on he's probably the most expendable - and trading him to Poulter gives DPP while also not altering bye structure given they play for the same side. Plus Poulter already looks to have better scoring potential. I'll likely be jumping off myself this week as well

His b/e was 8 before the 33 so it's probably going to be 50+ this week...Not ideal but 80k profit and fresh cash gen from Poulter-Nile. Opens up M/F DP on the forward bench as well.

On-field upgrade vs Bench cash-gen??

McCreery > Poulter
Warner > Aaron Hall
Bank $2k
vs
McCreery > Poulter
Brockman > RCD
Bank $150k

I reckon mcreery is pretty much guaranteed a spot in the team and will get up to about 250+K eventually. Could be going a bit early on him

Not sure...Something needs to happen lol.
Still got Jordan, Rowe, Powell, Warner, Butts, Kozi

Forwards I've got Gull, Greene, Dusty and three rookies. So probably downgrade Jordan to someone and make Warner Zorko.

Still leaves me with Cripps at M8 so maybe need to find funds to transform him into one of Guthrie or Macrea which would make Mcgrath my M8.

Looking at Tex > Merrett
J.Clarke> J.Farrar
Why do you want to bring in Farrar now? I brought him in at about 180K and I think in hindsight it probably would've been better not to even at that price. His role doesn't seem particularly SC friendly at the moment he seems like he's almost playing key defender at times. Poulter seems like a much better option for 130K less next week

Hall is an interesting one.
He had surgery to remove a mass in the back of his throat.
It was restricting his breathing and would make him blow up late in quarters.
Surgery was successful.
As far as an SC pick goes. I doubt i take him.
Hes had runs of massive scores before and trapped folks.

Downgrading 2 on-field rookie spots is not a good strategy 9 rounds into the season imo. (Assuming Gulden is on-field for you)

When cash cows start bleeding, it is time to bid them farewell.

I'd have no more confidence having Gulden on the field next week than Scott or RCD. His current price is higher than his actual value to me. So I'll trade him.

Ditto Warner. The Sydney rooks are cooked. Stick a fork in em

I meant upgrading on-field rookies, not holding them. Downgrading on-field spots just takes you further away from complete.

I mean sure but that's a fairly myopic view. What do you think I'm going to do with the cash? There are two good downgrade targets this week, possibly no others for weeks. Ima grab these guys while they are there to be grabbed.

Actually, it's the common sense view. Sure you can use that cash made from the 2 on-field downgrades to make an upgrade elsewhere, but you end up with 2 rookies on-field 300-400k each away from being upgraded. If they get injured (like Murphy for example) or dropped your options are limited unless another rookie is available to sideways to. This is how incomplete teams at seasons end happen.

Why does it have to be elsewhere?

I can upgrade Scott next week to a premo mid and RCD comes straight back off the field. So it's one week. I.e., myopic.

BTW, I wouldn't be trading out McCreery. He isn't worth enough, it's a waste of a trade IMO. Especially seeing as he has decent JS
