Disgusting effort after quarter time. Disgusting isn't a strong enough word.

Players that should be culled at the end of 2021

Callum Brown - Too small, too timid, can't lay a tackle, can't break a tackle.

John Noble - Too small, too timid, can't lay a tackle, can't break a tackle.

Chris Mayne - Too old, too slow.

Jack Madgen - Too dopey.

Trey Ruscoe - Too dopey.

________________________________

We are zero chance of being a threatening top 4 team if any of the above players are on the list, they are dead weight.

List management has been far too soft and forgiving for far too long.
Bringing in players like Daniel Wells, Clinton Young, Quinten Lynch.
Holding onto players like Jack Frost, Tony Armstrong, Ben Crocker.
Getting rid of players like Rupert Wills, James Aish, Jaidyn Stephenson.

Incomprehensible, incompetent and unforgivable.

Until the small, soft, non-desperate players are dealt with, results don't matter.

22 players that are hard and desperate will have a chance to become something vs 22 players with skill/potential but are lacking size, desperation and physicality.

That is us, that is what list management has done to this list.

Very low effort post as well. Max Lynch is a 22 year old who had upside. It hasn't panned out but it wasn't terrible. Daniel Wells was to help us contend. Unfortunately his body gave up on him but he was very solid when he did play for us. Clinton Young wasn't great but we thought he could be a solid contributor. Tony Armstrong played 2 years at the club, rocket played 4, a very suitable timeframe for a player drafted at 18. Jack Frost also only spent 4 years with us. As a key defender, those players take time to develop. James Aish and Rupert Wills while respectable VFL players, were in a similar mould to Josh Thomas, do we need more of them running around. Ill concede on Stephenson as that made no sense.

You didn't even look at the actual issues which caused us to end up in this situation. The Dayne Beams deal at the time was baffling. To give up that much for a player who had hardly played the year before was a disastrous move.

Clinton Young definitely cost us the win today.

We are a Joke. Worst Ball Using Team in the Comp and maybe ever in the AFL

Really should of lost by 10 Goals but that be coming in next 3 Games.

Only Postives where Poulter and Mcrerrery.

Poulter I could say was just about our Best Player Today, Clean,Dispose it to a Teammate and Cool and Collected.

Mcrerrery Tried and Created a Few Shots at goal and looked had a Real Crack

We butcher the ball, last quarter still in the game, Sidey, our 2nd most experienced player has space 70 metres out and one step torpedos it straight to a Sydney defender.

We seem scared to give young players a chance in the guts. Why? It's not like it can get much worse.

Look most of us are like wounded animals at present and there's more pain to come before it improves.

People are striking out because their pain is too deep to carry inside.

There is no good way through this for either club or supporter base, I went through this before with the new deal disaster and if not for Eddie it could have totally destroyed the club.

Hopefully the new leadership is the fresh start the club and fans need and not another pack of political opportunists.

It sounded as though effort wasn’t the issue and more about polish.

Couldn’t buy a goal last quarter, where if we had have got one or two were right in it.

As long as the effort remains we just need to keep turning over the dead wood and bring in some better assistants to the coaching ranks and improve that way.

Max Lynch is a 22 year old who had upside.

I meant Quinten Lynch, I edited it.

Daniel Wells was to help us contend.

He had massive soft tissue issues and he was 32 when brought in.

I disagree with Wills, he would surely be playing ahead at least 5 of the 22 today.

Aish is a solid contributor for Freo, he was solid for us, would be ahead of Noble easily, he can actually take a mark and lay a tackle.

Yes I didn't mention the Beams deal, I was pointing out earlier failures highlighting how long this trash has been going on in regard to list management.

I honestly, whole heartedly believe I alone, single handily would do a far better job of list management.

I actually watch most games every weekend, isn't a surprise some of our list management don't even watch footy......

As for my analysis, the team was so poor, racking up 72 clangers. That could be the most any team has had this year (don't quote me). Pendlebury, Quaynor & Daicos were unusually shocking by foot

As for the positives. I thought maligned players such as Mayne, WHE and to a lesser extent Thomas were all solid. I personally have Mayne & WHE as our best 2 players today and Thomas in our top 10. Crisp, Maynard & Sidebottom were decent and probably our next best 3 in my eyes. Darcy played sub par but wasn't a negative on the game. Grundy & Cameron were alright. I though McCreery & Poulter kept trying which is all you can ask of players with under 10 games. Tyler Brown wasn't horrible.

We had a lot of seriously bad players today. Pendlebury & Daicos, while they got a lot of it, used it shockingly and I'd say particularly Pendles was really hurting any chance we had. Callum Brown should be going at 90-100% if he is only having 30 metres gained, not at 60% with 4 clangers. Brody Mihocek was unsighted but I blame this on a midfield with horrible ball use. John Noble is shocking defensively for a defender. Dane Rampe comprehensively beat Jordan De Goey and Jordan doesn't know the meaning of pressure. He needs to find other ways to get involved. Mark Keane made far too many mistakes and made Hayden McLean look amazing. Isaac was shocking off half back, using the ball at 45% which is about 30% points less than where you need to be. Tom Wilson with 5 clangers and 37% off Half Back is truly disastrous but I'd be willing to stick with him for another game. Ollie Henry isn't up to the standard, he was invisible.

I can't stress this enough how this isn't a coaching issue. Our defensive zone structure was great today and was the reason the swans only got away from us late. 72 clangers and terrible ball use all around is the issue as well as goal kicking. Buckley can't go out there and kick for the players. This is certainlynot a tactical issue. It very well could be a training issue however but it isn't tactical.

Clinton Young definitely cost us the win today.

Highlighting how long list management has been beyond a joke, how the board decide who is part of it, well, seems like they just pick any old nuffy.

As members, we each have a share/stock in the organisation.

We should have a say who get's a contract to be on the list.

I bet 90% of our members watch far more footy than the board and management.

We will never get a say in anything. Just a cash cow.

I was a huge advocate of WIlls. 90% of the sub on here weren't and the truth is, Wills is just a stop gap. Like others such as Thomas, he tried his guts out but truth be told, he isn't very good. With the list reductions, we had to move players on and Wills was a logical selection as when we have everyone available, he wouldn't have been best 22 and he doesn't have best 22 potential. He is just injury cover and although he could've been useful today, players like him were given plenty of time to show something.

You criticise us for holding players too long, yet Wills was on our list for 5 years. Longer than any of the aforementioned players

As for my analysis, the team was so poor, racking up 72 clangers.

If the team are hard, no player is missing.

This list is soft soft soft, not just mentally timid, but physically.

How can Maynard be our hardest player?

It's embaressing every week he is the hardest because he isn't anywhere near the biggest.

Grundy has this 'I'm an intellectual' complex, he doesn't have raw grunt and doesn't put his body on the line at crucial times and he has this horrible carefree attitude, presence, state of mind.

The entire list needs to watch Mitch Robinson every week, he isn't the most skilled or the most intelligent, but his desperation and toughness is what every single player today rarely has.

Wills would get a game ahead of C. Brown every week if I was in charge, how many chances did they give Wills? He never had more than a 10 game run at it.
I typically agree but we opted to keep the younger Sier who has potential to be a better player (even though I thought last year, WIlls was better than Sier). You could've moved on Max Lynch instead as we already have Cameron, Grundy & Cox.

Could have moved on C. Brown.
Could have moved on C. Mayne.
Could have moved on most that played today vs Wills.
Big body like that doesn't just have to be one position, big body like that and brave player like that is rare.

That is the decision they made, keep weak, slow, small, timid players and move on one of the biggest, strongest, bravest.
