The list is really good. They do have some really good players out but they are at their best when they're in attack mode, they just don't utilise it properly. If they get someone like Longmire, they could climb really fast

There was a bit of play that they highlighted where Clark was streaming down field and then froze.

That reminded me of the end of Buckley's tenure. I reckon there was a Geelong game was Sidey was streaming forward and then he froze and went sideways.

I just hope they don't go and take Boyd from our club and make him their coach. They can have Longmire no worries.

It's time to trot out the cliches - backs against the wall, against the odds, AFL sanctioned fixture rigging....

But seriously, what a fantastic win.
We won in a different way - I think it was a deliberate plan to not try and match Freo in the contested possession and clearance game, because of the 5 day break.
Our boys could well have run out of steam if we played that way.

Crispy is a machine - he was brilliant, as was Jamie.
DC continues to dominate in the ruck.
Shoota was great until the collision - he knew he would get crunched, but just went anyway.
Pez just keeps getting the job done with a minimum of fuss.
Bobby was, well, just Bobby.
BBB was mostly great, and showed why we shouldn't muck him around and play him in the ruck.
Sully was good, and I thought Ed got better as the game wore on - more game time for these two boys please.
Beau played an excellent game.
Nick played a JDG sort of role - he could easily have had 3 goals.

I'm sure we have some very tired boys today, but they should be very pleased with their work.
Rest up and Go Pies!!!

Few shoutouts

Beau - his tackle in the last quarter with 10 minuets to go and freo were surging inside F50 was HUGE - had if not his best game for the club, serious impact in the middle

Sullivan - had my doubts not going to sugarcoat that, however, the discipline he showed around stoppages, laying crucial tackles, winning massive 1v1s on the wing, just so critical

May it continue - GO PIES!!

We have now announced ourselves as the Terminator of the competition.

Honestly, we have become impossible to kill.

Lost pretty much every metric of the game, and got absolutely pantsed in clearance (cc 20-8) and i50 (64-32), just those numbers alone would suggest we should've got belted, absolutely belted.

Credit to freo, they came to play, every time we closed space and suffocated them, they steadfastly and stubbornly refused to lose the contest and they then outnumbered upon possession, hence those worrying numbers. They're much better than everyone is suggesting, and threw the kitchen sink at us.

Still. Couldn't. Kill. Us.

How does any team win a game of football with 32 i50's, and lose centre clearance by that much? Against good opposition, on their home deck, with 4 key outs, after a 5 day break, in game injury that had us a rotation down in the last.

How?

INB4 'well freo are just shit' - mmm nah they're not, inconsistent certainly, but their best, which they threw at us last night is pretty phuqin good.

We. Are. The. Terminator

Need Sonny Walters back and another couple of proper forwards, I think their forward line sucks at the moment. It's a one man band.

It's a politically motivated criticism

This photo illustrates the strength of his personal politics.

I was referring to the culture of Fremantle.

Look at the long list of players traded out. Look at their career trajectories.

Look at the players recruited, how do their careers go?

Shit club, shit culture shit leaders.

That's my pet hate with the sub, every time there's a tactical one, there's always an injury afterward, it's a curse. I've seen it happen in many games this year

But I think that's the risk you take if you do the tactical sub off, it can go pear shaped, I rather they bin the sub entirely tbf
100% agree about binning the sub. The AFL were looking at just 5 interchanges, with no change to the number of interchanges, but instead stuck with the sub, against the wishes of the coaches. Hopefully they revisit this decision.

Oscar actually does have forward craft, he's kicked multiple goals a couple of times this year, and he's about the same height as DC.
He's still a kid, though, and still developing.
I have high hopes for him.
It would be a good time to remind people that at Oscars age, Darcy wasn’t even regarded as being worth drafting yet.
The kid is fine, he’s showing good signs and developing nicely.

I was quite critical of Moore in 2024. But in recent weeks he really appears to have dedicated himself to defending first. Playing like an old fashioned centre half back. I like it.
I was genuinely concerned that he'd lost his passion for the game last year, but for the most part, he's well & truly back to his best.
Really important too with Howey agìng, and less of a superman now.

That punch in the last quarter straight to Bobby was exquisite
