Supporting them would probably drive me a bit insane too.

They have some really serious talent in Serong, Brayshaw, Jackson, Peace, Treacy, Bolton and Young, some decent youth in O'Driscoll, Johnson, Reid, and Draper, and good key position players generally. And yet, the gulf between their best and their worst is probably the most extreme in the competition.
The Freo board actually has some very funny posters.
As for their footy team, they need to sack Longmuir now.

What a game that was. Just the tenacity of our boys. Shultz played like Nathan Murphy, with no regard for his own safety. Maybe he should wear head gear, cause of his height his head is copping it in lots of tackles. How good was Billy's confidence, Darcy Cameron's confidence at taking grabs, like Ed Allen's run and chase. Crisp, Perryman, anything Nick does, Beau, Josh, Bobby, Elliott, Ned, I thought Membrey looked like he's adapting to our pace, was sharper. If, JDG finds his best form, we will be very hard to beat.

Shooter has had 3 concussions in his career now. I would put him on ice for a full two weeks, and reassess after that....

Imagine having Serong and Brayshaw in your side but then ****ing Alex pearce as your captain. Genuinely feel sorry for Freo supporters.

what was the umpires reason for the free against Frampton on Voss which resulted in a goal? Channel 7 went straight to ad's and didn't show the replay
Billy put two hands in the middle of the back and gave him a shove...10 years ago it would have been considered a blatant push in the back. These days the rule is a confused red hot mess and is hardly ever payed

I thought it was a pretty obvious free kick and a major brain fade from Frampton. No idea what he was trying to do

Feels like we won that one on pure guts and determination and straight kicking at goal for a change.

4 out and N Daicos going in underdone.... Freo are hard to beat at home....

Rapt we won and hope Schultz get better soon. He was amazing before getting knocked out.

Ed Allen was dissapointing. Dropped an opportunity to show what he has and needed to show something.... was a major reason why we got smacked in the middle.

A lot of trust placed in him by MaCrae, and didn't take his opportunity.

Cameron and Elliot BOG.
Crisp close second.
Schultz was best in the first half and kept us in it in the first qtr.
Hill was very good and should have kicked 4.

If you're going to pot a bloke, get your facts straight. He played in defence most of the night.

Lots of challenges, but no one really mentioned in the lead up us missing our two key forwards.

But the smalls got it done. Beau and Billy’s best games?

A lot of clubs make 5 day breaks and travels an excuse but we tend to break the mould with this.

Fly is coaching fantastic. Backline unbelievable.

The defensive gameplan this year makes us hard to beat most weeks.

It was actually a blessing in disguise to have our 2 talls out. It forced us to go small ball against a backline that is slow as a wet week. Absolute masterclass from Bobby, Billy, Shoota and Beau.

We really couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. As someone else mentioned, the win yesterday makes up for the loss last round. I'm convinced we would've rested more had we won against Geelong.

The best part of the 7-2 start is that we're doing it with players out. We've won 7 games with the following players missing throughout:
Mihocek, McStay, JDG, Pendles, Moore, Howe, Houston, Maynard, Schultz & Membrey.

We're living by the 'next man up' mentality and it's comforting knowing we can rest our fossils without being too concerned.

Our next man up are all really good backups as well. Great position to be in

He’d want to lift.
I’d like to see some younger players - Allen and Sullivan, maybe others - get a bit more of a sustained go at it.
I trust the coach. But I do wonder about his unshakeable faith in the established crew.

The sign of a great coach is to show faith in people. Lippa is not getting dropped anytime soon. He plays the wing role to perfection.

Allen and Sully are great backups and will continue to get chances as the season rolls along.

Yeah thats actually a really good explanation, I never thought it that way in relation to their defensive tackling and size, I’ve always looked at the ruck work and offensive play.
I guess that’s why they played Smitt at full back in the VFL a few games ago plus we had three rucks that day.

If Steene had an inch of forward craft he’d be ideal. He’s not big enough for 1st ruck but as a forward 2nd ruck option he’s the ideal size. So in the meantime let’s hope Maso gets the body a bit looser, he looks so stiff and old at the moment.
Oscar actually does have forward craft, he's kicked multiple goals a couple of times this year, and he's about the same height as DC.
He's still a kid, though, and still developing.
I have high hopes for him.

I actually think they could have a resurgence like our 21-22 seasons with a new coach. They have heaps of talent.

They’d kill to have shoota back
The list is really good. They do have some really good players out but they are at their best when they're in attack mode, they just don't utilise it properly. If they get someone like Longmire, they could climb really fast
