I forgot to add David Wirrpunda to the deal, I am just really ********ed off at Collingwood and Chris Tarrant in general (kicking at goal) and am really impressed with Adam Hunter and have liked Paul Johnson, but only at the moment.

It wouldn't be a fair trade, but what is a fair trade???

I know a rumour, I have mentioned rumours before.

But Chris Tarrant is going no where.

L_F_50 even with Wirra its a crap deal. Paul Johnson and Hunter are crap. You rate Hunter cos of 1 decent season and PJ is a totally unproven player and he would rot away in the reserves probably along with Hunter.

Tarrant is our best and most important player, why on earth would we want to trade him?

He is not half as out of control as he is made out to be. He's definately no loose cannon.

He's a Top 15 player in the league by my book, so unless you've got something in that category not worth discussing not that I'd look to trade him anyway!

also, i wouldnt be surprised if that eventuates because he is a bit of a loose cannon, and eddie wouldnt want to much bad publicity for the club as a result of one player, although he could also easily turn it all around

wonder if port would have him for salopek and/or thustans and/or draft pick ???

Thurstans and a first round draft pick?

Done deal.

I know it is a crap deal, because it is a No Deal!!! Chris Tarrant is untouchable!!!

But when you say Adam Hunter is crap, I ask you one question. How many West Coast games have you watched this season??? If you say 21, then you are talking ********, because you say he is ********, and say he has had a good season at the same time.

Adam Hunter represented Australia in either U16's or U18's, according to the AFL Record (can't find it, think it is round 12 v Melb edition).

He is a good youngster, and will be very good in future years to come.

But that is my opinion, Maybe Andrew McDougall instead of Paul Johnson, Johno is just a favourite, seen him play a couple of games in the WAFL on TV. His debut match for West Coast last year was an absolute shocker though, for memory.

i highly doubt u will get mcdougall. if u want him, johnson may be on the table, and not necessarily for tarrant. he played on game last year, the derby and he got one handball, but he only played something like 35min. he looked impressive for us in the preseason and was considered very unlucky not to have played the opening games of the year. then he got injured.

Rnd 5, 2003, Fremantle v West Coast
P.JOHNSON - 1 H/B, 1 Clanger, 1 Free Against, 1 Tackle, 0 Ranking Pts.

Late replacement for David Wirrpunda (hamstring)

Johnson played 16 WAFL Games, injured his fibula and spent the rest of the season on the sidelines.

But hey, with those stats why wouldn't we trade for him.

I'd trade Judd for him in a second.

Ive watched about 5-10 WC games this season and what ive seen of Hunter has been average. Its possible to be a crap player and have 1 decent season. And i didnt say good i said decent big difference there bud.

WAFL being the 4th best league in the world filled with teams with non AFL listed players. As opposed to the best league.

Have non AFL Listed Players - bit of a contradiction there - The WAFL can sometimes be better to watch than the AFL somedays, and when you say non-listed AFL Players, what is Paul Johnson, Troy Longmuir and Ben Cunningham DOING BACK THERE EVERY WEEK.

If you get your fingers out of your arse and pay attention to other leagues and the other bloody 90% of AFL Listed players then I might listen to a word you are saying!!!!

Shut up, I really don't ********ing care about people like you when it comes to analysing players when you have only seen a couple minutes of there whole season / career.

If Tarrant is up for trade I'd consider Adelaides, Brent Reilly & G Johncock and pick 8 in this years draft. We'd be giving away a guy with who at 23 is just emerging into his most productive years and is a proven matchwinner.
I would then consider trading pick seven for Ports Steven Slaopek. It would stich up Collingwoods midfield for years to come...Reilly and Salopek are both Victorians.

Otherwise a straight swap for Judd is the only other scenraio entertained.

Listen carefully people - Chris Judd is not going anywhere.

He is a future captain of the club. And will no doubt be one of the best players ever to play the game.

Tarrant would not come anywhere near the trade value of Juddy. Not even a combination of Tarrant, Lockyer and Collingwood's first two picks would be looked at.

Forget it. Move on :)

he was leading hard ball gets at the half way mark of the season and i think he finished 5th in the league. He leads West Coast in hard ball gets.

doesn't take a lot of overhead marks, but doesn't really need to in the role he plays.

Judd for Tarrant? HAHAHAHAHAHA YOU ARE JOKING

Tarrant only plays well once a year...and goes missing. Welsh is better than Tarrant.

Give the Crows Tarrant and Lockyer, and we'll give you Welsh. That is a steal.
