Not even going to bother with the other bloke..

As for draft picks, it's a compromised draft, enough said...

Goddard would be in our top 5 players, the ones leaving are fringe at best...

I'm not saying that getting rid of Lucas is wrong I'm saying getting rid of Lucas and our first draft pick? And then to top it off Bower and McLean? I just think its too much Lucas should command a first round pick anyway.

I re-worked the rumour a little and posted this on the D+T Board.

If the trade is a Four way affair that pans out more like this:

Carlton:
Out- Bower, Mclean, Lucas, Pick 22
In-Goddard, Pick 49

Richmond:
Out- Pick 15
In- Lucas

GWS
Out- Pick 25, 49
In- Mclean, Bower

St Kilda
Out- Goddard
In- Picks 15, 22, 25.

Three first rounders for Goddard, which is pretty short change unless the Saints really are under cap pressure

Hoping Mclean ends up at Richmond though. Finding the shit they talked about him will be priceless come the Round 1 thread and they are discussing what a superstar he is and how Carlton mis-managed him.

I think you have to look at it as Bower is out of contract so worthless in regards to trading and Brock goes with huge coin on his head so the Blues get relief as well.Leaves us with Lucas & 22 for 15.

Can I just say, the posters commenting on we want a period of success, I believe you dont understand the way Carlton works, we dont want to be content with finishing top 4 and oh we had a great year, can I say, **** THAT....we are Carlton and we are in the business of winning flags, its how we did all through our history and will continue to do so. The last 10 yrs of crap was out of our control due to the sanctions, however going forward and especially with free agency coming up, we will be getting quick fixes throughout to win flags.... We have always done that and hopefully always will.

If the quick fix equals a flag well I am all for it....bring on Goddard...

I'm amazed at all these rumours and hypotheticals about Goddard. I think too many of our fans are confident we can land him. It would take something unbelievably remarkable to get BJ to our club. Not only will he cost a shitload (and rightly so), he has stated he wants to remain at the Saints. Unless he does a massive backflip and walks out on the Saints, it simply will not happen. And the Saints aren't one bit interested in trading him either.
