Maybe if you blokes had a Crowley type player who could shutdown someone who was getting on top of you, you wouldn't be overrun in every second game? But no, North play 'pure' football. Loser football that is aesthetically pleasing, for the 40 minutes that they actually play it.

Please consider the topic of the thread before posting. Refer any threads about North Melbourne's game style to the relevant thread or alternatively, start one yourself.

He's absolutely playing as a tagger. But the reason he got only 14 games is because he hasnt yet learnt to hurt a team with the ball yet.

To each their own I guess, but if he can stop an opposition gun from taking over the game, then I struggle to see why he should have to hurt the opposition with the ball.

He's already hurting the opposition by taking a heap of their best player's possessions out of the game.

If he's at least competent with the ball, then surely that's enough to get a game. Can learn some hurt while he's helping the team win games.

Priorities just seem weird to me. Guys like Rawlings, Ling and Kirk didn't just develop their ball winning ability from nowhere. They shut down an opponent first, and developed their ability to find the ball and use it better as they gained experience.

Please consider the topic of the thread before posting. Refer any threads about North Melbourne's game style to the relevant thread or alternatively, start one yourself.

It's competitive football, players and clubs are contrasted against one another. You want to compare him with Rawlings, for some reason, yet don't want to hear how important Crowley is to Fremantle, and how the lack of a player of his abilities is part of the reason your club misses finals and is flogged in finals.

Ryan Crowley is the reigning best and fairest winner at a club about to host a home preliminary final. Those are the facts. Everything else is just opinion.

A poster issued a comparison between Brent Harvey and Crowley in terms of worth as footballers to which I responded.

I then claimed that the best taggers have been Rawlings, Cornes and Ling as they prevent opponents getting the ball whilst getting it themselves.

Fremantle fans took exception to this opinion and have sought to argue against my point. Many, however, veered off topic which necessitated a report to the moderators.
