why don't you sms sen the picture, and tell geelong they need to sack Simpson Vardy West

So VD...lets keep it simple!!...The bet is...St Kilda will play in the 2011 PF....WITH Gamble in the side. I say that wont happen...you say it will. The loser coughs up for a TV sponsorship next year....deal???
As I said, I expect Saints to at least play off for the GF, with or without Gamble, that is it. Saints are not going to drop out of top 4 contention IMO, and that seems an easy win for me. Who wouldhave thought Mackie would have missed a Prelim? I can't say Gamble will be in the team on THAT day, but I definitely believe he will be given more chances AND will help their cause. BUT the original wager is Saints to play off for a GF. Simple.

If the deal has to include Gamble in the team on that day, ok I'll do that, i njuries permitting.

I don't mind Simpson Vardy West, all have their place. It's Ottens IMO, time is limited.

You would have to expect Gamble is going to play a fair few games with the Saints. Consider that they had someone like Robert Eddy who whilst played in their grand finals, has been delisted since then. This indicates, as we all know, that the Saints bottom 6 players are not anywhere near the calibre of some of the other teams (Collingwood, Geelong). Ergo, Ryan Gamble will most likely slot in beautifully with St Kilda.

I liked Gamble in 2008 and really thought he was someone who would become a permanant 22 player with Geelong but unfortunately he was overtaken by players we have who wanted to be there more it seems.

Whilst I think Gamble is a versatile and agile player with some footy talent he has slipped behind as a required player because of his leg speed I would have thought. Forwards are either big and powerful, small and super quick or medium forwards are similarly fairly quick or they have freakish ability like SJ. Geelong started using guys like Gaz and Bartel up forward because to get guys of that size with the footy in their hands up forward they need great skill & strength. Lighter guys like Gamble with average speed even with his agility have struggled since 2009 and as much as I like the guy and wish him well I dont think the Saints have thought this one through. No doubt he will have some good games Ryan and I wish him well but not as a long term forward prospect given the way the game's played today.

Gamble will relish at a new environment it is best for him as he couldn't reach his full potential with us but there I think he can.
