hi guys

i wont hide the fact im a pies fan......im just interested to hear Freo fans' opinions on this young fella

i know he played 2 games (i think) last season, are we likely to see him again early on this year?

cheers

cheers

i know he dominated in TAC cup for gippsland when they were a pretty hopeless team, looks the goods and hopefully has a very long career in the AFL

Quick on the lead, good hands, a superb kick for goal and a very intelligent footballer. All the characteristics you'd want from a young full forward. Round about 85kg now and won't be ready to consistently influence games until he's 90kg+, but should play most games this season and have an impact.

I was under the impression Campbell was being groomed as a tall backman rather than a forward. I could be wrong though, haven't seen him play.

Regardless, he's behind Murphy, Mundy and Warren for a senior berth in the 'young tall man' stakes.

well you could be right, i am a Pies supporter and i live on the otherside of the country

i just know he played TAC cup at Full forward and assumed he would be groomed to play AFL there

of course, he could be getting his apprenticeship through the back line to make hima more rounded player?

anyway, id assume you were right voodoo_86

Honestly, you guys have a bloody promising goal to goal line, especially if Pavlich can master the CHF caper and CC gives Murphy plenty of gametime to learn FF (as we did with McDougall last year). Polak should stick to what he knows best, playing as the third tall or on a resting ruckman. Haddrill and McPharlin are a very very solid CHB / FB combination.

Good signs for Freo this year, just need some leg speed and height in the middle.

Having Pav and Murph in the forward line means we no longer have to rely on Medders and JF to kick a winning score, they'll also be able to feed off the crumbs. I feel a fair bit more confident with Pav as our CHF rather than the snake with the rubber chest. The forward line might not be perfect or even proven yet but it's looking better than it ever has IMO.

Could not agree more Milenko, it's a pitty more of the West Coast Posters on this forum can't keep their posts as incisive and informative as yours. Well done :)
