Just heard Nye broke his ankle in yesterdays reserves GF. Put's the young bloke behind a fair way in this pre-season you would think. Dissapointing as there have been a few wraps for him on this board.

Oh Well was probably not going to be upgraded from the rookie list for the start of next year.

sad news - but he will be fine - wouldn't be surprised to see him elevated this year......NC has plenty of good things to say about the lad

Very unlucky for Nye, MD.

On the contrary, IMO the broken ankle has probably cost him any chance of being upgraded.

He would not have been upgraded anyway BUT this injury now puts his chances next year also under threat as he won't have a full PS to prepare - sad for the lad

Happened in the second quarter I think, he was playing well before the injury as well. He managed a few games in the league this year and would have been pressing to start in the league next year before this setback.
Saw him back at the club presentations last night and he seemed in pretty good spirits.

I spoke with him just before he was drafted from Peel, and he was just getting over a knee injury. I have been curious as to how he has been going after being picked up on the Crows Rookie list. I think I remember reading somewhere that the coaching staff thought he was a ready made footballer ready for the seniors and were stoked to pick him up, but they couldn't squeeze him into the senior list.

Has anyone seen much of him this year? Did he spend the whole year in the SAFL reserves? Playing in the back pocket?
