Ryder Out, Warnock In ??

With the mooted move of Paddy Ryder from the Bombers to the Lions, it would leave the Bombers with Bellchambers as their only recognised ruckman. Reported today in the AGE, Ryder will be traded for a second-rounder which is well below his market value.

We have all bemoaned the form of Robert Warnock this season and believe that he has finished his time with us now.

Could the Bombers be so desperate to pick-up a ruckman with that second-rounder to replace Ryder and could we entice them to take Warnock ??

possibly Currie/Naismith etc. Generally untested back-ups that would cost a 2nd rounder anyway.

Could see this forcing a trade with Brissy for something like Ryder & Pick 19 for Lueney-burger and pick 34ish

No way in hell Essendon will give up their 2nd round pick for Warnock, especially as they are banned from the first round of the draft this year ..

We would be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for Warnock from any club to be honest.

I don't think the Bombers could afford to take in an inexperienced or project ruck to cover the loss of Ryder, they would need someone who is match ready.

I read that Luenberger may be headed back to Perth and if so, that would rule him out.

Nah you are right, as if any club in their right mind would give up a second rounder for Warnock. FFS, you would be a laughing stock, just imagine if you gave up a first rounder for him....oh the shame!!

At the time The Warnock trade was considered a great move by Carlton, Freo were pretty ropable. BTW Didn't we give up a 2nd rounder (pick 24) for him ?

I think you are correct, we offered a first rounder for McLean....reminds me of that time in school this older kid talked me into trading my Bruce Doull footy card for Larry Donohue!!

Warnock was the annointed successor of Sandi. But Sandi is still there and Zac Clarke is doing a good job, with Hannath as understudy.

With all the commotion over Levi, it's a wonder Freo haven't made a bid. Gumby, Bradley and Griffin sayonara.
