I’m in the south of the state between Kosciusko and Corryong. Properly remote, still wet, but everyone here is set up for fire. I am, although a proper fire would scare the s**t out of me.

Two of my neighbors are in the RFS. One thing that I didn’t properly understand is that they can’t really put out fires like these without rain. Just contain them if all goes well. They could burn for months. One near here burned for the best part of two months last summer until a storm dumped on the spot.
